Suze The grub was the reward for the climb! Yummy!
Are you getting enough time to relax or is it all work, work, work? Anyway, hang on in there - winter will be here all too soon!
Cockatoos... love that photo especially. I may want a copy of it to enlarge when you get back :) Sounds like a brilliant day, all told. My question is....did you actually eat that breakfast before you went out climbing? (including the pile 'o bacon and what looks like - beans??) I'd need a nap if I did. I'll assume you needed something else afterwards, heh heh. We're still stuck in an incredibly uncomfortable holding pattern of humidity here. Still no real relief in sight! With my disdain for cold weather, I can't complain about the heat, but man, it's hard to be productive when it's so damn hot. Looking forward to the next leg of your journey as you venture north. Enjoy seeing INXS (-1) !
Hello! :) hey mike, it's gia!
i haven't commented so far, but i've been reading all of your blog entries and it sounds like a fantastic trip. here's to racetracks, future snorkeling adventures, and saving impossibly miniature marsupial rodents!!! also - you aren't missing the heat, trust me...it's been like living in a perpetual sauna with the doors locked over here!
can't wait to hear from you next!

The Great Barrier Reef Mike, So glad you're getting to the reef, you MUST go! and make sure you save $ for an underwater camera. Linda (Sarah enjoying the summer, meeting some new friends from Friends, and reading Maximum Ride.) We will await your underwater pics from the reef!
way cool.... way cool....
i know you're not taking requests bui must say that listening to you whinge about Englands deserved dismissal is a bit pathetic...come on now!!
loads of craziness here. painting a giant mural on the wall of cvs in medford sq. with the camp kids. it was 101 yesterday and i had them all out there...ugh
the true craziness can only me told in private so you'll have to wait for that one. lets just say there aren't enough days in a week!!
Love the kangas....think I might know that deeply attractive man in the photos. Keep us posted on your ventures. Sending the warm, hot, humid weather from here you way.
Lucille
Great to get your updates. Sorry to hear about your dreary weather those days but still sounds and looks quite amazing. Just think you were able to spend some time with Antony and he with you while traveling . It is also nice to hear that he is helping out with the bills since it is so expensive there as you say. Hey, that's what family is for, they help each other other when needed if possible.
Of course the nice weather returns always when you get back from your destination. Hope you get to the Barrier Reef.
Have fun and stay safe.

equipment... wow, it's more than slightly distracting. i'll try not to stare. very very cute koalas! bring one home, please! don't dismay too much over the soggy weather you're having - we're facing a weeklong heatwave, starting tomorrow.....upper 90's for a week and intensely humid, every day. your apartment would have you sweltering if you were here!
seriously... dude, can we try to save the poop stories for when you get home? why the pool anyway? a 300 ft cliff with young girls watching is one thing, but the pool?!?!? Have a little class. The bushes, an alley, the beach...but not the pool.
Are there children that read this or am I allowed to fully express my thoughts? just wondering...
maybe... just maybe....Nelly might make a better maid than a social companion? You could use a maid, right? ;) I think there is something "magnetic" about you - you attract the weirdos! (trust me, so do I, unfortunately). Sounds like an interesting evening. Except the part about the liquefied steak. Ummm....ick.
