WOW!!!! What an adventure for you. Your descriptions are amazing and I could imagine it all and being a hidden croc there too. Enjoy the big red rock.

Well this sounds very interesting for sure. Please do not think/worry about the school year now. I know that is it easier to say but you are in a much better place with things to do, see, and enjoy. Great that you are spending much time with Antony and doing things together. Enjoying your blog and photos.
Safe and happy travels.
Lucille
beautiful pictures I think I speak for all of your followers in saying we love you just the way you are old and decrepit with leper lip and all. As usual your commentary is full of excitement . Can't wait for more.
scarrrrrryy spider Hey Mike,
sounds like your having a great time. But that is one scary spider and one cool fish. Well hope it stays fun.
From,
Maddieeeeeeeee
PS. I went camping July 16th to the 19th. It was soo fun!!!!
Sounds like an interesting trip with everything included. Sorry about your other cancelled boat trip but better for engine to have blown before trip than while you were on it.
Enjoy Darwin, will be waiting for next entry.
Have fun and safe travels
Lucille
Suze and Gia Sorry about the heat! I'll be joining you in the heat of Darwin later today for a few days. Maybe the apartment is not going to get done after all! Thanks for looking out for those plants! Good luck with that AP class! Feeling a bit sad about saying goodbye to Antony today, even though we're going to meet again in Sydney for the last weekend I'm in Australia! Hope you're continuing having fun in the sun!
Vicki Did Leila have fun? I guess the heat is pretty intense still in Boston, eh? Are you all loving it? I'm flying into the heat myself for a few days, later today!
leper lip and all... ...you're having a fine time of it I see...such a shame that there wasn't much to see except all of the above :-) We've just returned from Vermont, having retrieved Leila from a week of camp. Though I tend to be more drawn to the ocean, the landscape of the Northeast Kingdom is a close rival....looking forward to the next post.
Nice! Sounds like a lovely trip, all in all. Glad to hear you were a warrior on the ride.....cheers for the old guy! We're still sweating like pigs in these parts.....humidity is back again, after the briefest respite. Your plants are alive, though I must admit, a bit brown around the edges - I'm trying, really! Still no signs of painters - maybe they'll start when the heat abates. (my own painting has come to a standstill until it cools down some). Good news for Gia - she got a 5 (out of 5) on her AP English placement exam. Hopefully that'll count for one college English class out of the way :) Anyway, looking forward to the next installment of Adventures in Oz - stay well, stay safe xoxo:)
Pommy Tart Too funny, Mike! I like the one with the ladies in the black outfits under the umbrellas.
Good to see that neither you nor your brother has gone native to the point of wearing gym socks to the knees with sandals and your obligatory sun hats ...
I hope you continue to enjoy your trip, and call out the difference between a druggy sexsweatball and a real professional as you see them!
Wow Well, sounds and looks like two very interesting and fun days. Love the photos...especially the ones of you and the girls. They posed with you for free.....you look quite happy and content in those photos. Glad to hear that you had two great days.
Enjoy the Barrier Reef...have funa nd safe travels. will look forward to next blog when you return from there.
Lucille
what? ok, sounds like a really fun time, but there was one line in your writing that stuck out for me: "....bearded chaps carrying kangaroo pups under the front of their shirts....." umm, is this a common sort of behavior in Oz? lol. i'm sure we've got our own array of oddball behaviors in these parts - but carrying an animal around, inside our shirts, isn't one of 'em! anyhoo, sounds like a good day - especially with all that girlie attention you guys got! take care, stay safe...miss ya!
Thank you Thank you for your blog, sir. Especially the comments on INXS. Those were some mighty brave words. As a non-Australian (who has argued with Australians on this topic), I find it frustrating that there are so many people so devoted to Hutchence that they refuse to give Mr. Fortune a chance- even in the face of such irrefutable evidence. The man can sing, write, and has a tremendous stage presence. I applaud you for recognizing his contribution to this band, and for his ability to help them continue to create and entertain audiences worldwide, more than a dozen years after the demise of their original lead singer.
Lucille Antony is an extremely generous brother, it's true. I wouldn't be able to be here if it wasn't for his generosity, simple as that!
It's really great to spend this time with him!
Eric Sounds like fun in the sun for you and the kids. Send me a message about the other stuff you lazy get! Any news from the Zombie land? I'm already dreading next school year...
Elso You never returned my photos or my camera. I offered to give you the camera and buy you blank memory cards if you would just send my photos back to me. You didn't even do that. You spoiled my trip to Brazil. What have we got to talk about?
Here you can read my blogs sent from Brasil (2008) and Australia and New Zealand (2010). Also, check out my trip to West Africa (2006) with my friend Eric Paci at travelblog.org/bloggers/ontheroad. ... full info
