Positive Footprints
My Dearest Marin...Thank you for this final recap of your remarkable trip to South America. You paint wonderful word pictures along with taking beautiful photos that capture magical moments. May your summer in Homer be a wonderful time to breath in fresh cool air and adventure through the waters around that wonderful place in Alaska. If you ever travel south our door is always open! Have you given thought to writing a book about your travels and all the positive footprints you are leaving upon this earth?

OMG your safe
So glad to hear from you honey and know that you are keeping on/ keeping on! The warmth must feel so good on your bones after being in the cold south. Will you be getting into more of the Indian native culture now, instead of such a European influence. Look for the Biblioburro- the man who for years has saddled up his donkey with books and traveled in the mountain acting as a library. I may have a future there! Only 1/2 way through your travels??? And both of you having birthdays to boot. Here is a great big hug for you both- so glad you are taking such good care of one another. You are making memories to last a lifetime. I miss your enthuasism/curiosity and fun takes on life honey and cant wait to hug you up and hear your stories. Be safe, my lovely and enjoy. I'll love you forever momma

Greetings From Rio
Hey Dagwood!!!!!! We are here in Rio de Janeiro Brasil and having a fabulous time. The people here are super friendly and value lots of sun and nice beaches. The night life here is incredible with lots of clubs to go to and the sightseeing is wonderful. A month here just wasnt enough. We traveled by bus about 150KM south to a place called Buzious. It was a tourist place for people from South America mainly Chile, Argentina and Uraguay. Again we were greeted with kindness and everyone was smiling. Just a beautiful place in the world. I am heading back to AK on monday and will miss this place alot. But I get to go home to my family and Christmas with them so that will be nice. Just wanted to drop you a line and say hi from the same country. It sound like you guys are having a blast and the pictures are wonderful!!!!! Travel safe and I will see you this summer sometime or something like that!!!!! Tchao!!! ~T~

OOOH PICTURES
I am seeing some of the most beautiful places in your pictures....not to mention that good looking man who is pondering life! It seems that y'all are actually LIVING a grand life and are able to see how others live with and without all that we Americans take for granted. I am so glad to be able to link myself to your trek even by an online medium. It is wonderful to see those mountains and lakes and flowers and streams that I will never go to but can say I have 'visited' through y'all.

HELLO NUMERO TWO-O
So good to read more about you. I can hardly imagine an Irishman in his kilt dancing the salsa, but I bet it would be interesting to see!! Sounds like you are having an interesting and great time. I looked up your project after your mom told me about it, and find that you can "do" canada also....that should be your next location!

Marin, thank you again for sharing your travels. So glad you are having a wonderful experience. All is fine here - looking forward to a turkey dinner in a couple weeks. Warner and Serena are now in AZ and checking out their options. Life seems to fill up with living every day. I finished two days of jury duty (we convicted the poor guy). I had not participated on a jury before, so that was a good experience. Stay in touch and stay safe. Lots of love, Aunt Judy

SALSA DANCING
with an Irishman!! How intriguing. Still enjoying your time down there I see, itches and all. Looked up your 'project' name to find that there are treks you can make with them all over the place, even Canada. You should do Canada next!!

epic trip!
oh honey...love the pinky up at the tea- how perfect. How are you feeling? I know the last thing on earth you like to do is throw-up so you must have really been suffering. What a way you have writing your thoughts. I can see the beauty through your words and only wish I were right beside you. Well I guess I am- in spirit. Being the only ones on those incredible beaches must have left such a memory for you. It is in the stillness that we sometimes find peace. Cant wait to hear about your continued journey...and remember how much I love to hear your voice:) Hugs to Thor! yo momma

morning sunshine
Good morning honey..I am missing you this day but yet I know that your adventure is so valuable for you. Did you survive the bus ride? I am reminded of our bus trip in Mexico complete with chickens! I can imagine your trip was even more rural. I watched a show about Anarctia- are you headed there? Reminded me of Homer. HOpe you and Thor are both well and enjoying what adventure unfolds each day. Hope the red wine is delicious and the beach inviting, water warm. 5 here this am but clear and the mts are beautiful. Kitties send their love and licks. I love you momma

Mari - I love to read your blogs! The sense of wonder you have when you experience the world is wonderful. How neat that you can see the details. Your life awaits for you here too, fish to be caught, friends and family who love you and can't wait to sit around a bonfire hearing your adventures. Make the most of the time you have and know we admire you. xoxo

beautiful
habutzi mamma! your words have left mine tangled...and I feel like I have to reply, say something of the beauty, hardships, humanity, and learning that you are experiencing...but all I can say is that your words are beautiful, and that not understanding is all a part of growing and figuring out that we are all so small is this big world! I love you marin..and appreciate everything you are doing! I send the peace I have in my heart, from costa rica, all the way to yours in India!

Forever Transformed
Marin, my heart if full of love and admiration for the journey your life is taking you on and the way it is transforming your life. Continue to take in all that this magical, mystical, place has to give you each day. Much you will not understand now, but throughout your life this journey to India will speak to you when you need it. Much Love, Aunt Diane

wow
Mar- your writing is like looking at a canvas and having it come alive! Your words paint such a vivid picture. Is this the same monk which we have heard and met in Homer several times? It truly is a small world? I am blown away by your sense of wonder and curosity and the courage you have to follow your quest for each. But yet I can't wait to have a hot cup of chai with you and give you a great big hug and kiss. Until then, I'' love you forever yo momma

Hi
Hi Marin, I got an email from Diane with a link to your blog site.......otherwise I would know anything about what is going on in your life. This sounds like a fabulous adventure........probably even more fabulous that you can appreciate at the present time. Be careful, and enjoy yourself1 Ila and I have been very busy for several months with remodeling the North Bend house, keeping the Sisters house looking spiffy (hoping for an interested buyer), as well as the usual necessary stuff required to keep our home (Eugene) going. We did take time out in January for a trip to Arizona....stayed about three weeks. Please keep in touch...I never hear from any of the Lee side of the family, except ocassionally from Diane. I am very sad about that! Love you, Grandpa
