I would love to join you for a dive. Maybe our mothers could go snorkeling? Unfortunately, but not for altogether bad reasons, I can't go diving for a while -- will blog about it soon! Until then, I am vicariously enjoying your experiences. :)
Thanks :) I noticed the pattern or mantas on many of the boatmen and fishermen and DMs - we should meet up somewhere for a dive Michelle - with our mothers!
Prices keep going up We checked into that trip a few years back....looks like those prices have continued to soar. But-- what a great place to stay. Yowza! Your dinner looks pretty tasty. I love that pool. Nice tat. Glad you got to go diving again.
Thanks :) The whole monopoly situation from telco's to food and everything being imported are part of the reason..i think the other part is if it were to lose its exclusivity it would eventually lose its beauty under the pressure of mass tourism. Thanks to all of you who encouraged me to add Bora Bora..I wouldve hated to miss those sunrises..even if it did cost me a fortune!
It paid to wake up early This was sunrise view from the deck of my bungalow on Bora Bora - spoiling myself..and the milky way at night was equally beautiful.
russian plastic surgery ...maybe with lots of Russian women with lots of plastic surgery and makeup...
dude, that's no surgery: the average russian women is more beautiful than an average american... u-um... female. you just can't afford one so you say it's "plastic".
Thanks for your input Hi and thank you - im not a man, so I have no interest in buying any sort of woman thanks for the advice tho, and im not American either :) but I shall keep your advice in mind if I ever decide to become a man. Thanks for reading :)

Hi and thanks for reading :) I know.....what a sucker....it was a stupid move taking her to Sumatra because she whined when I wouldnt take her to Bora Bora and Tahiti..everyone does, everyone asks ;)
You have a lovely day :)
What a wonderful day... I wwas expecting that everytime you met a guy, you would check whether their family jewels were hurting. I'm pleased with how your last adventure went...faith restored. And it's especially good to see pictures of you with a smile and having fun.
Thanks :) Id actually never had anything like that happen to me while travelling before and it did rattle me. I couldnt let that me spend the rest of my time hiding inside a resort so venturing out that day - while a hugely expensive day - turned out to be the best thing I couldve done.
Close call oh cindy, that was a very close call and quick thinking. Glad youre ok! Your trip is sounding quite impressive but with amazing things and some pretty full on stories! tam
Top marks for TB's most risque title :) Just come back from Bangkok and been toying with the blog title: 'Bangkok: She will if you pay her enough' that said, I don't think the Admins will approve. Anyway, love the blogs Cindy, keep 'em coming :)
Interesting surprise! I am very interested in how this has surprised you... i havent been to the pacific islands but sort of want to but not really sure why....i'm guessing this will probably be why :)
And no hawkers, or rubbish... sounds even better!
I love it when people write so honestly about intimate details. Travel seems like the best curative impulse to such an emotionally draining situations. Good for you! Thanks also for the hilarious observations from the Paul Gaugin museum.
Glad you didn't eat that Cindy!!! This plant belongs to the family Solanaceae which you will no doubt recall also contains the 'deadly nightshade' plant. While this plant isn't deadly poisonous, it will certainly send you on one hell of a trip. It's Latin name is Solanum mammosum and it is more commonly known as the 'Titty fruit' or 'Cow's udder'.
Oh wow! ...I hope to get to the south pacific one of these days!! When I did some research it is pretty depressing how expensive it was, so I came up with new travel plans. Sorry that your relationship carcass is rotting away. Tropical destinations always seem to fix those.
Expensive but worth it Thanks Bob and Andrea - im more than fine with the ending of the relationship, was long overdue, and yes, Polynesia is expensive, but there are ways of making it a lot cheaper than you think. I guess its all comparative though as living in Perth we have one of the highest costs of living so..relatively..it wasnt too bad. Next blog has some cost cutting tips ;)
Hiya :) I'm a 50 year old free spirited lady from Australia who just updated her profile because I realised i am no longer 46 and am also not Peter Pan. I like to spend life doing ridiculous things and have no intention of ever stopping. I've taken a year off to explore the planet and reward myself for well, years of work.. Im very much a seat of your pants traveller and totally irresponsible. Most of my travels are spur of the moment run away from home episodes and my teenage sons are cool with this. Im at peace with knowing riotous times dont have to stop when your supposed to have grown up... full info
