Amber Shannon Enoch

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania almost two and a half years ago. I have been working at a local preschool while living with my fiance. We have two of the craziest cats you will ever meet, Mr. Summer and Midnight. I have been blessed with tons of support in my life. My family, friends and colleagues have all been there for me in one way or another over the years. Finally I have decided to step away from my safety net. I just left my job after seven years (undergrad and post grad) and am free of responsibility for the first time since middle school. Except of course all the bills that will come due, but that is next months worry. Doug and I have decided to take a trip west in the car. The great outdoors, camping, a small amount of hiking, maybe a trip to Vegas where we come back married, oh yeah and perhaps I will learn how to drive.

In all reality it probably only lasted 5 minutes but it felt like a lifetime before we were finally passing through the Allegheny Tunnel in PA. We did climb another 100 or so feet after that but it was not so bad that time. Coming down the mountain was a blast, for ... read more

This is my first blog ever and I am very excited. I have always wanted to do a blog but for one reason or another have not gotten around to it. Well today was interesting. At around 5 a.m. Mr Summer started to chew on the 5 lb bag of cough drops I bought from CVS and keep next to the bed. I shooed him away for a while before he went to chew on something else. 10 minutes later I awoke to Doug mumbling something about the clock and Mr. Summer. I ignored him and went back to sleep for the next few hours, periodically waking and thinking, "Sheesh, it's taking a long time for the alarm to go off today." When we finally got up it was nearly 10 am and I was way ... read more
