Interesting Times Well when you go off the beaten path and are spontaneous you have some very interesting..er.. exciting encounters! That guy might be disappointed in how a twinkie tastes, but at least he can say hes had one. Keep on truckin. love Mom
WOW!! Wow!!! what a whirlwind experience. I liked the part where you were scooting down the path sideways, in the rain. You were lucky to see the works of Leonardo da Vinci. There is only one painting of his on this continent, it is in the National Museum of Modern Art in D.C. I do have a photo of it, somewhere. You look like you are with a fun group. Love Grandma W
Goose Bumps! That stuff would give me weird dreams, but I would love to take that tour. I'll bet alot of the history and novels you've read are really coming alive now, being able to see the setting of where so many things have transpired. I'm glad you posted again. Love Mom
Postively Ghostly Kirsten, now that is my kind of tour! The bus decor is neat. I love spooky with no gore to see. Lots on interesting history involved there. Horrible to think that type of torture occurred and unfortunately still does in other countries. That part of it creeps me out tho.
at last I got through Hello Kirsten" I have been trying and trying to comment to your blogs but I would get the message that this "web can not be found." I want to give you my shoulder to lean on in your ups and downs with Pregnancys. I know it is hard one way or another. Things will happen in its own time, you must have faith, sometimes that is hard because faith is something you can't see, you have to feel that it is just there. That is what keeps me going, I have to let go and just know things will happen and it has and does. Also stow-aways are illigal anyway. Just enjoy your trip and studies from here on out. I love the way you write your blogs it certinally is a sharing experience. Thank you.
The rain is still coming down and flooding is getting bad. As far as I know we are all alright. The boys have been hit in their work as well as many other contractors, farmers and many other businesses.
I am still plugging away on my house. We are beginning to put it back together. Austin completed putting insulation in the two bedrooms downstairs and hopefully we will get the living rm and dinningrm this week. I will be so glad when it is finished. Well, I guess you won't have a 4th of July over there so we will send up a rocket for you. Love Grandma
Weather Holding our own here in Fort Worth, but some areas flooded. June rainfall was officially just under 12 inches, but actually got more than that in my part of town. Not flooded, just super squishy. So far another 1/2 inch here to start July and in forecast most of this week. I sure am enjoying your history accounts and the fantastic pictures. My kitty is in the hospital, respiratory distress, eyes glazed over etc. She should be okay, appears to be asthma. Callie is 6 years old. Keep the blogs coming, I am happy to make the journey through you. Be careful.
Hot Chocolate The Chocolate shop sounds lush have one for us , we didn't know your news thaT THE patter of tiny feet were on the way, it's wonderful news take care of yourself, it will be worth it in the end
I added two more videos after you commented. It wouldnt let me add them earlier for some reason! The dancers and musicians are supposed to be the best in Ireland. The show was about an hour long and I was just so entranced by it!
photos Some of the pics are just breath taking.I would love to see them in person.I would also love to see real Irish people dance and hear the music.WOW what an evening that must have been!!
Beautiful Scenery Kirsten, I so enjoy the wonderful pictures you send and the history of it all. I would love to see for real the places you have just sent today. Such a wonderful experience to have, take full advantage of it. By the way, Caroline was very excited when I emailed her that you are going to have a little one. I sent her your blog and hopefully she will get a chance to follow it and to email you soon. She just finished her exams, passed, and is hoping to move into her own flat soon.
Bad Days Kirsten, this to shall pass, as they say. Just bear in mind the end result that awaits you and that sickness and exhaustion is just a thing all pregnant women must go through, but at least it is due to pregnancy and not just an illness. You will make it through and keeping active both in body and mind will help you occupied. I do hope your morning sickness passes quickly. You may wish to try some soothing herbal teas with peppermint, chamomille (sp?), lavender, etc. A lavender scent under your pillow is soothing and just some peppermint candies to pop in your mouth may also help. Anyway it can't hurt!
Take care and I Wish You Enough. (You will know what that means if you have read an email I sent to you and our family a couple days ago. Keep going strong.
Chocolate MMMMMMMM! Wow am I jealous!
On the identity thing - you will never lose yours! One of the reasons I love you - you're a special, strong, unique individual.
And as the bossy mother-in-law type, if you lose your identity to your children, they will never develop ones of their own!
Enough serious stuph - guess I went off the deep end there a bit. Go back to the chocolate place and have hot chocolate for me!
Love you!
Tour Guides Name? Everything sounds fun and interesting. I hope the trip exceeds your expectations. What is the tour guides name, or the title of her book? I would love to read it. Love Mom, I never thought you would want to hike so much.
You are a brave soul Kirsten: I have read all your entries and they are like reading a mystery story. I am on the edge of my chair waiting to see what happens next. I am so happy you are able to have this adventure. I wish I was with you, but I know I couldn't keep up. Some of the places and pixs remind me of Israel, also we found chocolate places, mmmmm. You are doing very well in getting around. Your 50lb. pack makes me groan, I remember all the times I went backpacking with Don. Keep up the good truck but be safe. Love you. WW
So glad you enjoyed Wales! Guess it lived up to your expectations. Good that the weather was better than at Whitby!
Sorry your arrival in Ireland was so traumatic - probably just some power crazy official throwing his weight around.
Enjoy Dublin - my mother-in-law was born there and I've always wanted to go. Should probably be typing this in green.....
Love you!
Love the map! All the pictures are great, too, and it's good to read all your adventures. Looks like I may get to see all your brochures and guides around Thanksgiving - wedding probably November 24th.
Love you!
Kirsten, I would have loved to have seen all the cottages. Anne Hathaway's is so quaint and beautiful. Enjoyed the pictures. You are absolutely getting a walking tour of your brave journeys! Any chance of your bringing some of the wonderful chocolate at the end of your trip? LOL ~ ~ ~
OHMIGOSH ! Kirsten, you are totally much, much more adventuresome and brave than I could ever be! I would have turned around and found my way home to the good ole USA at the first obstacle, I have no guts. I am glad that you perservered tho, that is admirable and the way you should do. It will all be worth the hair-raising events if you keep following your inner feelings and keeping your head about you. Take care and live the adventure, write a book when you return! Auntie Dian
You managed fine You had quite an adventure and managed just fine. I agree an organized well planned trip would be much better and safer. Keep it up, It's an experience of a life-time. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Love Mom
