By the way Kayla reminds me so much of you......I see her when I look at you....

European travels Hi Kira and Connie,
I've been enjoying reading about your travels so much! Keep enjoying your time in Europe and remember to do lots of spontaneous things. What a blast. You two are fabulous squared.
Much love, Tarin
Greetings! Hi Kira and Connie!
Glad to hear that you made it to Salzburg in one piece and that everything seems to be going well! Thanks so much for continually updating us; I look forward to seeing pictures from your travels and even more to hearing about them from you in person!
Alex
I'm so happy for you! Connie and Kira (The World Travellers Extraordinaire)...
I didn't have a chance to give the two of you a proper send off, but I'm thinking of you and wishing you the best on your journey. I am *so* happy for you! What an incredible experience! I imagine it seems dream-like!
Oh...and I am thoroughly enjoying your travelblog updates.
(Thanks!)
Well...I'll be brief, since I'm *sure* that you don't want to spend your time reading messages right now. When you return...I would like to take you both out to lunch, so that I can hear all about your adventure!
Bon Voyage, Mes Amis!
Carrie
P.S. Hopefully...you will be able to stay awake now that you've enjoyed some peaceful slumber in Salzburg. ;-)
Thank you! Wow, Kira! It sounds like you're having a fantastic time--and there's so much more for you to do! I am enjoying reading your adventures so very much! Thank you for being you, you wonderful young woman! I look forward to reading the next installment.
Love,
Auntie L.
Have a FUN, safe trip!! Kira - Thank you for keeping me in the loop. I just love hearing about your adventures and plans. I'm so proud of you, my twin niece!! I know that you'll have a wonderful time and will enjoy your extra day in Paris. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions of what to do on your extra day, but I'm sure you'll come up with something fun. I'm sending you a big hug, and am looking forward to reading your next installment. Love, Auntie L.
WORD Remember, you gotta chase the pigeons at San Marco, watch for present from above, and while in Rome you have to see the Trevi fountain as well as The Vatican at night as well as at day!
Thanks for taking us along What a great camera you have and what an eye for a great shot. What are you using? Hopefully travel incidents are all in the past, you sound like you are having so much fun. Thanks for sharing it!
Hey Kira!! Wow! New York looks so beautiful as always...except the smog pictures:) I was just in the city last week and was also in awe about how huge all the buildings are. You're right, the subway is really easy to figure out. Well, I hope that nothing too scary happened in that initial New York experience you refer to, but feel free to ask me about any Tae Kwon Do moves you might need! Hope you have a great beginning to the European leg of your trip, and let me know if you didn't understand the directions to my house.
ciao!
Ginevra
Don't worry Kira, it's a fantastic city and there are so many people there that they will never notice if you make any tourist blunders! :) Oh I love New York.....
hey... I just wanted to wish you a great trip in NYC and Europe...hope you are able to read this...I am thinking of you and hope that this month will be unforgettable^^ Take care!!!hugs, janine^^ By the way: the photos are awesome... It's funny to see "you" again after such a long time^^
Kira!!! Aww...You moved away and i didn't even get a chance to say good-bye! That makes me sad :( Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful summer in Europe, and congradulations on graduating, and hopefully we'll keep in touch!
While in Venice don't forget to get lost! Sure, take a map, but then just wander. Do not eat anywhere they have someone outside to invite you in or anywhere that they have a "tourist menu" special (if you can help it). Do find the student area across the Academia Bridge (cheapish food) and do wander into churches and always remember, no matter where you are: McDonald's has restrooms! And do enjoy the delicious coffee (I'm jealous already). Cheers, Laura
Qu'est qu'on fait a Paris? Hi Kira, sounds like a great trip, have fun. You're looking for a couple tips on Paris. I'm sure you'll find the Musee d'Orsey with the impressionist collections, but if you have an extra day, consider an excursion to Chartres. Also, be sure to visit the gothic Saint-Chapelle, it's one of my favorite places in Paris and is in walking distance from Notre Dame. Unlike many gothic churches, this chapel is still brilliantly painted and has awesome stained glass. Go in the day, preferably when the sun is shining.
Viel Glück und gute Reise.

NYC! Hey Kira! I'm so excited for your visit to the city! Even if it does rain, there are plenty of inside-things to do -- museums and movies and music shows and cafes and cute restaurants and little bookstores and art galleries (the list goes on and on...). Congrats on graduating! See you soon!!
graduation Hey... how fun... lovely pictures too... Happy graduation... OMG, you guys are done so early... our graduation is this weekend coming up... hey it's Cambridge, we take our own sweet time with everything!
Good luck, stay in touch. Maybe I'll see you when I visit Rochester sometime!!!
Hi there!
I'm Kira and this blog follows my various travels around the globe (hopefully). In the summer of 2006, my best friend Connie and I traveled throughout Europe and caused a fabulous ruckus! In the summer of 2007, I'm traveling around Germany and (hopefully) Scandinavia while visiting some friends. Where will I be next summer (2008)? Stay tuned!... full info

Yay!
Loved the Venice pix. I'm so glad the weather cooperated too--and that you wandered around the streets and (I hope) got a little lost.
