Well done! Josh, brilliant effort, congratulations. Sometimes these things have a habit of turning out just right and so it seems for you. Let me know how and when you want your money and best of luck in getting more, althought £200 is isn't bad for starters.
Matthew
Hey! I'm in Perth right now, and I'll be in Cairns in about 3 weeks. This entry made me look forward to it like crazy, thank you. I'm doing a lot of the same things you did already, I've booked a 3 day certified diving trip and a friend of mine is doing that 4 day certification trip as well with CDC. We've already booked our spot on the skyrail as well. Thanks for the images, you made my day. Love Shelle, the random stranger
Awesome! Hi Josh, many thanks for sharing all those wonderfull photos from the Great Barrier Reef. The Giant Turtle is my favourite - they look so majestic in their own environment. I hope life back home will be acceptable after all your experiences---- but can you tell me what a Guilford pikey is?!!!!!!!
memories Josh, your blog from Cairns evoked many memories from when we there in 1994, 12 years ago! I remember doing the Reef, Karunda etc and also going up in a hot air balloon at 5am which was really spectacular.
Never got to New Zealand, though. Bet you find it completely different to Oz. In the World Cup, massive match for the Socceroos tomorrow v Brazil while England reach last 16. Trick is to avoid the likes of Argnentina and Brazil, but not sure we're even good enough to beat the likes of Ecuador, Germany or Portugal. We shall see!
Go For It!! Josh, great to read your blog and hear about the fantastic things you've been doing. Your photos are superb, so pleased you've done the Reef. Congrats on getting your PADI - something else to add to your CV! You'll be hard pressed to go on a more spectacular train journey than the one to Kuranda - my photos are almost identical. Keep going for the sky diving, jet skiing etc. And don't worry about the croc warning signs - why not give croc wrestling a go?
Australia may be over, but now it's time to experience NZ.
Hope you're keeping up to date with World Cup.
Keep talking. Love, Dad.
and er............Owen Hargreaves So, it was 3-1, but not very convincing. Why does he play Owen Hargreaves? Answers on a postcard to ....................
And by the way - Dowie's got the job at Charlton!
It approaches! So while you beach bums chill out down under, the rain continues to pour down here with a bit of sun in between.
Is there much hype about the World Cup down there? Here, it's everywhere of course, with nobody quite knowing if Rooney will go or not. Slight scare for Owen again over the weekend, but looks like he's OK. Tonight the friendly against Hungary with the preferred starting line up which is, I think, Robinson, Neville, Terry, Ferdinand, A Cole, Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, J Cole, Crouch, Owen. We shall see!
Keep on enjoying and see you soon.
QANTAS MELBOURNE I've flown QANTAS a few times without problems - purely by chance you probably got the wrong guy but I agree with Matthew that it's worth a letter saying that you had expected better understanding from an airline with Qantas's reputation.
Grandad
whatsup josh tom and robe! thats awesome that you guys are all in aus, i'm jealous it sounds sweet. sydney looks like a great place to go. i'm off to thailand tomorrow (scary stuff) so i'm just trying to sort out my b*stard ipod (tom i feel your pain). how much longer is robe with you guys? i wateched both the games as well, it is pretty sweet them being on in the middle of the night, good atmosphere etc, but both days after the games were complete wipe outs for me because of how late the games were and something to do with how much i had drunk.
anyway keep blogging, its a good way to keep up with what you guys are up too.
anyways i'll talk to you guys later
Blue Mountains I remember visiting the Blue Mountains in 1994 when we came out to see Baz and Sal. People forget that it is possible to ski in Oz and this is the place!
QANTAS in Melbourne Sounds like an absolute nightmare. Glad you've been able to sort things out. If you can be bothered, it's probably worth an official letter of complaint regarding this Boyd character. People like him shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. I recently complained about a guard on GNER and I gather he's now been sent for some extra training, so things do get done. Go on, have a go!
Few days behind Mary Hi Josh and pals. Looks as though you are just a few days behind Mary and Dan then. She's just done Sydney, the boat trip, the aquarium, the steepest railway, the blue mountains etc. etc. They have now gone to Brisbane and will be back in Sydney on Friday, should you wish to text her, she does have her phone with her. She mentioned she might try and meet up?? After this coming weekend I think she is going to Melbourne for 2 nights, then back to Sydney, then home to England on 27th May. All your photos are excellent. Keep them coming. Take Care guys (all 3 of you.) Mrs. Parker.
Jealous! Josh
Sounds like you're having a brilliant time! Here it's FA Cup Final Day today; reckon Liverpol 2 Hammers 1 but we shall see. Already have my ticket for Cardiff next Sunday, Leeds v Watford in Play-final.
Apparently Rooney is progressing v well, but I'm pleased that Walcott has been called up;shows a bit of imagination and risk from Sven.
Keep enjoying yourselves.
Matthew
Bring one home! Love the pictures of the joey's Josh, or should that be, joshies Joe?!M,H and F would be very happy with one for the garden if you could manage to keep it still in your pocket on the journey home! You may know by now that Leeds UFC have made it to the dizzy heights of Cardiff on 21st May. Max owes me for the rest of his life as I queued today in Aussie weather( honestly! ) for 9 and a half hours!!!!!!!! This was to purchase membership for me and then two tickets with coach travel for the two of us for a little trip across the border! Much love, the LUFC Emmotts.

Sort it out! sweet that you got to see the waca where we're going to spank the aussies next year. i'm macking in hong kong at the moment which is chilled. only been here a couple of days and already spent a shit load of money. anyway talk to you later and say whats up to tom. would leave a thing on his site but thats too much effort.
This journal is great Hi Josh. I have heard so much about you from Mary Parker, my daughter, I just wish she was doing one of these journals - it's brilliant. She is in Sydney now - and for the next 3 weeks. I just love your writing - it is very entertaining! Take Care and have fun. Mrs Parker.
Security guard at the WACA is not alone in hating the British govt. Good for the security guard in letting you into the WACA, he's obviously got some sense if he also hates Bliar, the war criminal.
Rottnest Island sounds great, and yes it's the only place in the world with Quokkas - I have that on good authority.
Melbourne next? I guess you'll be visiting the MCG.
Keep enjoying yourselves, and take care.
Love Dad.
News from Leeds Josh
Sounds good in Perth. Never been there myself, but know Sydney a bit and of course Darwin. I remember Singapore Airport, and having a shower there and going to the pictures!
Here you'll have heard that Rooney is a doubt for the World Cup with his metatarsal, Chelsea have won the Premiership and Curbishley is leaving Charlton.
Leeds have first leg of play-offs on Friday at home to Preston.
Continue to have a great time and keep the blog going.
IWANNABETHERE!!!!!!!!!! Hey Josh it is fantastic to be able to see what u see!!!!!!! Would u like some mature adult conversation in your ear while u travel? My passport is fully paid up and ready to go!!!!!!! Let me know what your route is gonna be please. Take care, have fun and keep sending all the legit gossip that u can. With love and green eyes, the Leeds Emmotts.
Hi from Dad Josh
Great to read your news, keep it up. I remember Australia being clean and loads of space. It's a great feeling after living in south east England. The Aussie accents are also kinder to the ear than the southerners in the UK!
Say hello to Stuart O'Grady from me.
Love, Dad
