It's grand. And there are so many nooks and crannies to Greece. We've got flight booked to Kefalonia in September. We'll do a week there and then return to Parga. There are places to visit in land which we didn't attempt last year. We'll be a bit more adventurous next time. But, it's so tempting to just lie on the beach!
Thanks And there's so many great places like Parga. Not mad money, but beautiful. It was a pretty serene place, certainly the beaches. I wish I was back there! :-)
Thanks There's more views in the YouTube video but I can't put a link to that on this website unfortunately. Paleokastritsa is a gorgeous place though. The camera loves it :-)
Prague is on our list This is one city that captures the hearts of many and we hope to get there sooner than later. I've needed to travel for work recently and some of the airlines are doing a good job cleaning and distancing people. In the U.S. the airlines mandate mask and if you don't you get places on a no fly list. That list is growing. Nice blog.
Cheers! Prague is very nice, with the proviso that Wenceslas Square has its seedy parts. A wealth of lovely old buildings and the river is lovely. They had an upsurge in coronavirus over the summer alas. But I felt very safe in every aspect of the trip, in the journey and in the city. Thanks for the compliments.
Beautiful indeed Great photos. Yes, we remember the beers atop the hill with fondness.. Our current lagery Beerlao do not compare. Indeed we concur, Prague is a great short-stop destination. However, just be careful who performs your caricature upon the bridge: we ended up with two that neither, for opposing reasons, ended up being hung.....
Thanks! It's good to know, there's people reading the stuff. I've got another website and the video is fine on there. I'm not allowed to link on here though. I'm pretty sure the video would have disappointed anyway. If it was really wild I wouldn't have been out there skipping from bar to restaurant.. :-)
Video link? Where is the link to the video clip? I've never been in a sandstorm, but I have watched a small whirlwind dance across an open field, and that was pretty incredible.
Whoops! I copied the blog over from my own blog site. I'll see if I can post it here though. I'm not sure I can post links on Travelblog. Mind you it was only a little clip, I hope I didn't big it up too much!
Inclusive Cyprus It sounds like you enjoy the hotel and close surroundings. As you said, you liked it enough to go back and will explore more next time. They really are missing out not having the bar open at sunset.
Beyond the facade I've also been very curious about what lay inside the Treasury building, and had imagined intricate little rooms that had held treasure! Haha :) The mausoleum theory is an interesting one. I love the sound of the welcome sweet tea - we loved that custom in Turkish and Moroccan culture. I can't wait for the day they ban animal rides at these sorts of sites :(
Cheers! Kindness seems to be a cultural value for them, it is in most countries, but they live it out. The people we met were great. The donkey rides were cruel I think. The camel I rode in Wadi Rum got it's own back when I fell off at the end. I could swear it laughed at me.
Work colleagues and friends used to ask if I'm a secret millionaire, the truth is we live in a modest house, buy cheap cars and don't spend our money on 'stuff'. There's no pockets in a shroud, we want memories to grow old with, not things. Some of the holidays are quite flashy and pricey, but most aren't as we take advantage of cheap flights. We look for bargains on booking.com and, if the weather's nice enough, we camp in the UK in summer. The aim of this blog is to share anecdotes from our trips and ideas about destinations. I hope you like it and thanks for looking.... full info
