Ok! So monday was an eventful day with a lot of walking around Lima. The first thing we did was go to Huaca Pucllana, which was a giant church of the indigenas people of Lima. It was made with adobito bricks, which are small bricks made from adobe, or a primative form of cement made from a combination of clay, water, dirt, and ground up rocks. The name means "a place for ritual games" and is derived from a combination of Quecha (the language of the indigenous Peruvians) and Spanish. It was amazing how bricks made from a combination of such loose materials could hold together under the weight of three stories of building.
