Liza & Tony; I see the voyage continues without me...... hard to imagine LOL! Thanks for posting photos of the sail from Guadeloupe to Antigua and others that I had not seen before! And thanks for the photographic credits as well! I mis s being down there and I miss you guys! Please don't let that make you hurry back to EYC though....! I had what I call "one of the best vacations I have ever had" thanks to you and Tony and of course, Vicky! Take care and see you soon! Too soon, for you, not soon enough for me!
I am SO happy for you guys! I have a return shot for you on the choice and feelings behind the reasons we want to cruise, I'll send them in a separate email though. My utmost congratulations on reaching Grenada, a season there is my goal as well. I hope to 'cross deh bridge' with you at Nimrod's someday soon! With Mello now up for sale, I'm hoping to buy The Boat this coming season. Then a year or two and I'll be on my way down. I'm sorry that Maggie and I couldn't get there to celebrate on Friday evening. We have nothing but good wishes for your continued good winds and weather, for your health and happiness. Hi Liza, there is a technique for anchoring when the waves are on your beam. next time i run into you at the club, EYC, remind me and I'll explain how to get the waves back on your bow for a more restful motion. And sleep! for your clanging mast, you'll need to pull all the wiring out of the mast. the trick to a quiet night is to zip tie the wiring into a "sausage" , with LOOONG zip ties, just don't cut them. the extra length on the ties acts as a bumper to stop the wiring from moving around. use lots and then put a few more so that they stick out all around. Then feed it back in and enjoy the silence. Almost. Because for the halliards I don"t have a solution.
