Amazing! Hi Heather,
I just found out about your blog, it went to my junk mail first...It seems like you are having a great adventure there...Miss you tons, and I will keep reading to see how you're doing.
Wow! The picture of the sunrise is spectacular! I'm sure that scene is forever etched in your mind and made the climb worth all the cold, fatigue and muscle pain! Beauty!
Looks like... You girls look so healthy! Like a Colgate ad! They sure so love Kareoke (sp?) ..did they invent those machines? Sounds like it. Only done it once ever!
Sparse it is! Yes, your apt. is far from the clutter we have so much of here! Guess that's we don't bother taking our shoes off at the door...we might never find them again!!! But things are at least neat and tidy and nothing clutters your mind but the tasks at hand...maybe that's why the Japanese people are so focused on their work!? Enjoying the pics!
Wow! Sounds like fun so far..you don't look all that tired in the pics but I'm sure your excitement kept you "up"! Looks like a bunch of neat people! Reading on....
Thinking of JET 06!! Your blog is interesting, can't wait to see how the year unfolds!! I'm interested in doing JET next year, we'll see!! Your place is tiny but cute!
I've moved from Toronto, Canada to Innoshima, Japan.
Toronto: large city, 5 million people, multi-cultural, English speakers, movie theaters/bars/shops, my family/friends, a car or the subway, my bed.
Innoshima: small island, 30 000 people, countryside, all Japanese, zero English, no theatres, a bicycle, a futon.
These are a few examples of my MAJOR CHANGE!
Technically I'm here to work as an English teacher. In reality, I'm here to play with kids in elementary school, hang out with junior high kids and have high priorities of traveling and exploring!
Welcome to my travels!... full info
