Thank you for the advice!
Your information is most welcome, as I don't like to spread false information around! :) Yes, the trip to Jambi really was a short one, I think sometime in the future I need to come back and take it slowly. I really liked the little villages lining the road to Muara Jambi. Houses on stilts, small mosques, everything seemed so calm.

my small city
I am glad that you made it to Muara Jambi Temple. There's less tourist attraction here in Jambi. There's much things to see outside Jambi, too bad you have not much time to spent here. But lucky, you see the oldest Sriwijaya temple already. They do made a yearly festival at Muara Jambi Temple, i think it's good to attract tourist to come to Jambi. Btw, i think what you call "City hall" is the Governor Office and next to the Governor office is the house of representative for Jambi and the food, "jawa noodle" is actually "soto" yes its right, its from Java (some other province have similiar foods). I live near the Governor office. Hope you could really visit Jambi next time. Cheers !

I really enjoyed your post. I'm planning to go to Bhutan soon and hoping you may be able to recommend your tour guide to us. I only have 6 days. Any special places that I must go and should not miss? Thanks! Michelle

HK's metamorphosis
I haven't visited HK since the late 90s, and although i remember my trips quite well, it looks like the city's burst into a grand metropolis! Amazing photos, interesting recount, thanks for your informative blog!

Cookies...
They're right there in paragraph two. Unfortunately I don't have any photographs of this event and I haven't really found much information about it on the net either. You may wish to google further on the topic of the birthday of the 12th Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi.

You can use the contact button to send me an email...
...and I can help you get in touch with the travel agent I use, Sogda Tours in CAMAPKAHD. I have a very good friend there, she will able to offer you very good service. Mr. PYCTAM is a driver for the Aral Sea Fund in Moynaq and speaks no English but he's a nice guy for sure! ;)

Watch out...
Hey guys. Looks like you're having a ton of fun. But as I am sitting at my pc, researching for my presentation exam on the Aral Sea next monday, it kinda got me worried. Dunno if you would still think the shoreline looks inviting if you knew what is in all that sand, mud and salt - never mind the water. I can tell you, there are more than enough reasons for the missing fish in that sea. But eh, enjoy your stay! Have a blast - just don't swim too much... Thanks for the pics, they're great! Jen

Short and Sweet
Quality shots and good narrative. Could use a lot more. Think in terms of those of us who plan to be there soon. Name of the restaurant and such. We plan to be there in July. Trying to collect personal experiences to avoid problems and enjoy the success of others. We also plan to visit Palembang and Medan. Thanks and Cheers, Anneke and Carl
