Tough Going
I will never forget the feeling of emptiness when I saw those places...especially those haunting black and white photographs at S21 and those disgusting brick 'stand only' cells. Yet the sight of the kids smiling and dancing and running around cheekily asking for 1 dollar coins to pose for photos was a reminder that even the darkest of days pass and life goes on. Would have been a very harrowing experience for all of you, but again, character building. Look after yourselves. Pep each other up, stay positive and keep having fun!

Cheer cheer the red and the white...
Geez Louise... ripping heads off stuffed toys and swapping them around? What have you guys been teaching those kids? Pass on Melbourne's commiseration to Mr Barker and his beloved Hawks...a very intense, very entertaining game of football saw the Swans pinch the flag. Any talk of Aussie Rules football must seem like a different universe for you guys! Well done on gritting your resilience and getting through the heat to help with the wall and the kids.

Proud of you!
Well done guys...having this experience with the kids not only gives you a sense of pride in yourselves but also immeasurable worldly wisdom. You can join an exclusive few who have been and seen with their own eyes and add this experience to your growing understanding of the world and its realities. Proud of you all!

Thailand Defeated...
So Siam Reap, huh? And Angkor Wat... glad to hear you guys landed safely! How's the humidity? The food? The culture shock? Do you notice a lack of old folks around? Shame about the cloudy sunrise, but soak up the ancient history! And Angelina Jolie? No....

Safe travels & happy hiking
Good to see you have all survived stage one of your journey. Enjoy catching up with what you are doing through your blog entries. Hopefully the weather will be abit cooler for your trek. I am sure you all enjoyed that extra day of rest, espec if you were still staying at the hostel you spent you first night in. I noticed it had a nice roof top pool which would be perfect on your 40 degree days. I am so envious that you guys will have a chance to do an elephant ride while you're on your trek now I have checked our risk factors on the world challenge website, beware of falling off and trampling......special message to Caitie, remember to take photos. Enjoy yourselves and safe travels

Make Good Choices!
Hello intrepid adventurers! I will be following your mischief closely from afar; am very jealous sitting in the office knowing you are all about to have an adventure of a life time. Remember to smile at the touts when you're saying 'no thank you' and soak up the good times, and the bad, chalking it all down to immeasurable life experiences! And if Ryder loses the plot, be kind... it's hard to stay in complete control in South East Asia! :P Make good choices, guys, Mr Burns
