hello Prague-goer! Hello ladies! My name is (also) Liz, and I was staying in the same hostel as you all back in Prague! (I seem to remember a quite fantastic night that involved an attempt to go to a club, and a taxi ride back.) I Googled you two just now because I'm listening to Dar Williams, and as I remember, Pia is quite a fan. Awesome! I'm wondering how you two are doing now, where you are, how your trip was, what your favorite stop was etc. Hit me back if you get the chance!

I am from Canada! Hello, I don't know you but I am enjoying your blog entries. I lived in Latvia for five months and when anyone asked: "Where are you from?" I responded Canada even though I am from Missouri. It is people like the guy you mentioned that make me have to do that. '
Take it easy,
Joey
another yank in B'lore A Texas native and a New York resident, I'm stationed in B'lore on a multi-week work assignment. http://blog.el-jefe.com for my thoughts on the experience.
Home, home on the raaaaaaange! Yeah Black Eyed Peas! Liz, just thought I'd say that I'm loving "Don't Phunk With My Heart" as well. Good call! Well, I can't believe you guys are on your way back to C-Town! Das Crayzee! I'm so excited to hear stories and see photos, and I'm looking forward to seeing you both soon. Liz, it'll be weird to start associating you with Van now. Lemme know when you're heading out there so we can arrange a visit. Toodles and have a safe flight back to the Motherland. Luff!
Alas, a passing chapter As we hear read your enthralling posts (honestly), we are ready to follow along and embark on the next chapter... India!
Have fun and keep us as up to date as possible!
Liz - Guess what, I have another job (now 2 of them). I'm an on call Zoo Keeper! Coll huh!?!?
Look out India! Well ladies, I can't believe the time has finally come for you to leave Europe! It seems like only a short while ago I was sitting in Pia's kitchen stuffing my face at the farewell potluck. In the grand scheme of things I guess 5 months does go by pretty fast eh? Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks again for all your entertaining and very wittily written blogs 'cuz they always make my day! Heh heh, this last one especially gave me a good chuckle (at your expense-- sorry!), as Liz's writing skillz enabled me to create a pretty funny mental picture of the 2 of you fending/lipping off the dirty orange shirt guy and violent homeless man. Kudos ladies! K, hope you have a blast in India and enjoy your last month abroad. I'm heading up to the stampede this week so I'll say hi to the cowboys and cowtown for you! Take care, good luck, and I'll see you soon :)
Props to Pia Ok, I'll weigh in just so that this isn't Pia and Liz just talking amongst themselves to say that Pia's dancing was pretty good; she showed those hungarian freestylers a thing or two and impressed some Mexicans, apparently.
Don't mock me... Whatever, my dancing was awesome and you're all totally jealous you missed it. Or something.
It's pretty sad when you start leaving comments on your own blog. Huh.

Miss Pa... hey miss pa... i just sent you an email (jun 12). if you don't get it you need to send me an email from your other account. i miss you like mad.

Gringos!!! Hey, nice to see that you two are having fun and enjoying yourselves. Yup, I totally understand your feeling on that Yankee chap that you encountered. Sad to say, I too have had the displeasure of meeting such types in Europe. My only consolotation was smiling at the people to whom they were being rude and saying "I'm C'dian", once I even got a round of applause!! - Ken
WOW Well, it sounds like you two have been around the world and back again! I cant get over how many interesting things you have encountered and the amount of places that you have been to already! I am soo jealous of the stories. And the pics.....WOW! You 2 look so good, even though all you talk about is how much food you're eating.....!! Anyways, im sorry that i havn't written in a long long time.... Pia, Happy Be-lated Bday, the big 21!!!! I hope it was a great one! Anyways, best of luck on the remainder of the trip and i look forward to more blogs! Oh and PS, i want to hear some of the "juicy" stories, so send them my way, cause i know there are a few......;) - Jamie
Good ol' Vlad the Impaler... Sounds great.
Liz, if you would have come to my Halloween party last year you would have seen evidence of just how jealous Carrie and I are that you are seeing those castles in person!
Pia. Sorry I didn't get to send you B-Day greetings in time, but happy belated b-day just the same. Heck, have another chocolate eclair!
Later!
And what lessons have we learned from your foray into the wilds of Eastern Europe? At all costs, avoid weird park rangers with floral obsessions and, most especially, avoid crazy, abusive shopkeepers. Maybe you should stay in your hostel and read travel books. Just kidding. Sounds like you two are having a blast. Many thanks to you both for your detailed and always amusing travelblogs. They're the reading highlight of my week. - Mummy Dee
Happy Birthday Pia Hey Girls. Your Blog exploits continue to keep me in stitches! Happy Birthday Pia! 21--now you're legal worldwide! Try not to get too smashed on your birthday. You should see your nephew--he's crawling everywhere and standing up and getting into all kinds of trouble! He also says "Dada" to me all the time. Some of those photos are amazing-they look like postcards! Anyway keep updating your travel blog and E-mail me if you get a chance. I miss you and have a good birthday!

Hi LizLiz & PiaLiz I finally figured out what a "haiku" was- you guys did a great job in your 13 "haikus" summarizing your adventures and mis-adventures in Crotia. Sounds like you are still having fun. Take care,be safe and look after each other.

Hey Ladies I can't believe how many places you guys have gone to in the time you've been gone! Eastern Europe must be fantastic, despite my bias against the place after POLI 361, taught by a horrible prof. So glad to hear everything's going so well for you two. KB - Kristina B
go to sarajevo! Hey Liz/Pia,
Just been reading the blog and glad to see I got a mention for my wiley driving skills! Pity I missed ye in Florence and Venice but it sounds like you're having a ball. I've met about 40,000 more canadians since I parted ways with ye. The Canadian population seems at this stage to be divided into two groups(a big generalization i admit but..). Group A - Mad capped, zany, witty and entertaining folk OR group B, who are lets just say less interesting to the point of being tortured to death through mind numbing conversation.
If you get this in time - GO TO SARAJEVO, see the war tunnel. Ask about the tour of sarajevo Sunni created. Its all mad and using your favourite word 'fabulous', even though it seems to be a kind of war tourism its really worth a look. And there's a big festival on in town on the 13th and 14th of may.
take care,

Hey girls,

Ahhhh, the breakfast Pope!!! Too bad you missed the soon to be patron saint of good breakfasts... Pope (eggs) Benedict XIV!
Sounds like at least Pia has the good breakfast thing going!
Have fun. Your posts keep me enthralled and I am vicariously travelling the world through your adventures!
Brian
p.s. Liz - I have a job!!! I'm an archaeologist again! Yipee!
Pita Bread? So, last night I had an interesting dream...
I was in 'The Real Canadian Superstore' shopping with Vanessa, and she was telling me about how you were all mad at me because I had a habit of taking papers and crumpling them up into little balls. Vanessa told me she was mad because it was annoying. She also told me that Pia was mad because she thought I had an obsessive compulsive disorder. Thanks Pia. Anyways, so we're walking around in Superstore, and we see you two running around trying to hide from store clerks, in a manner somewhat reminiscent of the 'gap game.' You were both wearing clothes out of a material that looked like burlap, and I'm pretty sure we could smell you from across the store. Although it probably wasn't the smartest move, Vanessa and I both gasped out loud, 'WHAT!! They snuck back into the country!!' You came over to quite us, and told us that you absolutely had to come back to Canada because you needed pita bread. pita bread? And I'm sorry to say that the two of you had gained quite a bit of weight, and had terrible sunburns. You're cheeks literally looked like ripe red tomatoes.
That being said, I was happy to read your adventurous reports this morning and hear that you are both doing well. I'm so dang jealous of you right now! - Jen Rawlings
Hey peeps. If you're reading this, we're in Europe, having absconded with little more than a swiss army knife and our striking good looks. (WHAT?) Actually, we might be in India. Or Africa. Or the United Arab Emirates. Whatever.
Peace and love to all. Check it!
