Here's a Google Earth File that goes along with this entry. Yesterday I took an early train from Rome to Florence, so I had a good amount of time to explore this city. Florence is definitely not as trendy as Rome - the locals don't strut, and they don't wear designer clothes everywhere. Don't worry, the Americans still stand out like sore thumbs. First of all, my hostel, the Archi Rossi, is amazing. Free internet (duh), a courtyard garden, breakfast, and comfy bedrooms (mine has marble floors). After putting my stuff away, I hit the town and practically bumped into the city market. Lots of stalls selling tschochkes (sp?).
