We were both up and ready in reception for 4.30am,bleary eyed but excited as we were heading to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat one of the 7th wonders of the ancient world.It was built in the early 12th century for king Suryavaman II as his state temple and capital city.Firstly hindu dedicated to god Vishnu then Buddhist. It is the symbol of Cambodia and is the prime attraction for visitors to the country. We met our tuk tuk driver for the day Denny and headed off into the night sorry morning. We got picked up at the pier by our driver for the day Mr Mun in a little minivan we'd hired him for the day to do oursightseeing much better rather than being with a big tour group! First stop was Erawan waterfalls which is a 7 tiered waterfall in the mountains of a national park! We got out tickets and headed off at 9.00am knowing we had alot of walking to do Mr.Mun would wait for us in his car for a few hours! First and foremost sorry for not getting a blog up sooner but we have been constantly on the go and not had much time or electricity lol! So after a 7 hour flight from Birmingham we hit Dubai airport at around 8.00am,freshened up in the bathroom as we were feeling a bit grubby after the flight.We had heard there was an Irish bar in the airport were you could drink and have a cigarette so we set off on a mission to find the place and omg what a mission it was Dubai airport is huuuge!
