Tui hats
Tui hats not required but DC took is orange Tui raincoat up the valley when we walked yesterday in case of a downpour. Cobb reservoir was no colder than Taupo Bay water in January!

re getting the message
Clarkies looking for "the Coalminer's Daughter" - there are certainly a lot of coalminers here in Westport - heading up for a tour of the big mine tomorrow - hardhats and eye goggles have to be worn. We are staying in an old pub and free use of the kitchen.

re Kingfisher farming and Parries
I think I saw a very slight hint of envy cross DC's face when I mentioned camo gear - but it faded very quickly. Hope he might go deer hunting and give me a couple of days peace!
