happy you finally saw the elephant ? To hisit in Nantes : duchess anne castle , musee jules verne, see memorial about slavery, walk in old district "le bouffay" etc...
Thoroughly enjoyed reading of your travels in Ireland and seeing the fabulous photos John. Enjoy school in France & staying in one place for a while. Being young at heart I'm sure you will fit right in! Lana.
Overachiever John! Yes it's a valuable lesson to learn to not overdo things and try to do too much! We took it to the limit in France with our tour, but I think we were on the edge!! The rugged scenery in Ireland is spectacular!
Warming the cockles of your heart Glad to hear Ireland is working its magic. The vistas look mesmerising - nice view from your room - and those sea shots...architecture too reminds me of being up that way in 2003. Enjoy!
Desolee! Je suis vraiment desolee pour toi John! I feel your pain about losing your jacket John and I will ask Saint Patrick (patron saint of Ireland) and Saint Jude (patron saint of lost causes) to intervene for you. Fingers crossed!
Fat Bike Tour I would highly recommend the Fat Bike Tour of Paris to anyone, young or old. It is a wonderful 3.5. hours of riding at a very leisurely pace around the main sites of Paris. The guide is knowledgeable and fun and the tour is an excellent introduction to Paris. Amusez-vous!
J'adore Provins! I love getting out of Paris and spending the day in this medieval village. It is always so calm and restful and the two shows are wonderful. My photos from the bird show of my owls are competition winners but I didn't want to take away from others' success! Lol!
Lest we forget Thank you to all those wonderful young Australian men who paid the ultimate price in the Somme region in WW1. I loved our day in the Somme region, It was so peaceful and evocative.
Understated excitement at Eurodisney! You forgot to mention John that the whole street parade by the Disney characters was dedicated to Madame Papeix who had broken a forty year drought and gone on two scary rides, Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones! The excitement of the crowd was out of control!!
Enjoyed reading your blog and looking at your photos of the France school trip. We arrived safely back in Sydney last night after a smooth trip, despite the delays in Paris getting through security and of course the anticipated confiscation of one bullet casing at Sydney airport customs! Hope the driving in Ireland becomes easier & "the curse" is lifted following your visit to church. Ireland looks beautiful. Travel well. Lana.
Great Times Hi John, It has been great reading your blog. The school trip seems to have gone really well, and you have had such good weather! Ireland sounds interesting - I haven't been there so I am reading your entries with great interest. Keep enjoying your travelling, and I hope all the missing possessions return.
Cheers,
Graeme
