how long does the numb feeling last? was stung by a channle cat here in florida about a week ago was wondering if you knew how long its supposed to be numb for?
Hue Sucked Not sure why you had such a bad time in Hue. I stayed there 4 weeks last summer and plan on going back next summer for the same amount of time. I love it there and the people are so friendly. Great, beautiful, safe and reasonable place to vist.
laos Well our stay in Laos is going to be very short. We're in Vang Vieng at the moment, but are then just heading back to Vientiane and then to Bangkok.
We're trying to save money for diving in Thailand, so that doesn't give us much to do in Laos. It seems all there is to do is trek, or kayak, or stuff like that. And since we don't want to spend money that leaves us with not much to do. At least in Thailand you can just relax on the beach or go swimming if you're not doing anything.
Baby Thailand Vientiane is not a good indication of Laos - I haven't heard of many people enjoying it much.
For real Laos Plain of Jars and 4000 Islands are popular, Vang Vieng is a popular travellers hangout and Luang Prabang is nice.
Enjoy!

Now that's impressive Now that it's over, you're safe, fed and have a room, it makes for a great story. I think I would have been absolutely crazy having to go that long without food. Do you remember what the meal you finally had was? - Kakashi
Ouch Hi there,
Glad to see you blogging again. I was wondering where you were. Sorry about the catfish sting - hope it's all better soon. Sounds like you are having an amazing time. - Auntie Eva
Muahahahahah Am I allowed to add comments about my own trip? Hummn..
YAY for leaving Koh Phangan. I mean it's gorgeous and all, but . . . - Coral > !!!
Great Sunset Shot Hiya,
good pics. Nice sunset shot. Learning to dive in warm water is very much worth it. There should be a lot to see. Have a great time and keep up the web journal.
Cheers,

Re: Can't Wait mmm,Tim Hortons, I could definitly use a donut right now, and if I wanted to I could probably get one. I'll be at Koh Phangan for the full moon party in may, but won't be around for any other ones, as i do have a few more countries to visit.
I hope you have a good time on your trip, so far I'm having a blast. It's nice to leave behind all responsibilities and just be able to relax.
Yes, we found some bugs to eat. They were locust I think, and they really didn't taste too bad. I didn't have my camera on me so I have no photos, but it is true, I ate them. =)

Can't wait.. I happened to stumble across your blog and just wanted to let you know how cool it was to see other people doing basically the same thing that I'll be heading off to do in less than a month.
Like you, I'll be leaving behind the comforts of Canada (Tim Hortons and Molson Canadian) and taking off for Thailand for 2 months.. I can't wait, and reading through your entries has made me that much more excited.
Maybe you'll still be there for the next Full-Moon Party - I hear they're a blast, you'll have to let me know!
Have fun! - Mark
Great Pics The pics look great. Did you ever find those bugs to eat? And good thing Coral didn't totally shave - a sunburned scalp would totally suck. Cheers! - Kakashi
