DAY 3 AFTERNOON We had reserved a rental car for the afternoon. The plan was to drive around the island on the one road that circles the entire island. We asked the rental agent if there were any spots to stop for some quality local cuisine. She recommended Pineapple Island, a local food stop that is a favorite among the locals with a great view. We were pretty lucky because the weather report said that it was supposed to rain every day of our trip. This afternoon was the first and only time we would encounter rain. DAY 3 MORNING We got up early to catch breakfast because we had a full day of activities. Our first activity was to go on a 4x4 with Albert Tours during the morning. This is one of many spots on the island that can only be reached ... read more

DAY 1 We arrive in Faa'a international airport in Papeete, Tahiti on the morning of January 21st after an 8 hour flight on Air Tahiti Nui. As we make our way through the terminal after picking up our luggage, we spot a McDonalds. We had a 30 minute wait until our next flight to Moorea so we decide to try the breakfast. We got a Croque McDo which was essentially their version of a croque monsieur. Unfortunately, we found it quite underwhleming. Maybe it was that we were tired, we weren't that hungry, or the anticipation of getting to ... read more
