So this past weekend I was very lucky to be able to see both a baptism or "Ngente" (naming) ceremony and a funeral celebration over the course of 24 hours! My sister had a baby boy about a week and a half ago and on friday we (about 12 women including me, my sister, the maids, and several cousins or friends) spent the entire afternoon cooking a HUGE lunch. We fixed ceeb bu jeen, which is the national dish, and is litterally rice and fish.
