Yes u did spell my name right! Hey David this is real nice! Cool how you describe Berlin. They finished
some of the work they did on the "Alexander Platz" though.
Well I hope you r doin great.
Englischer Garten Yeah, I remember all those people sunbathing nude in the park. Every city probably should have a place like that...hope you got to the Deutches Museum in Munchen. It is fantastic.
o man! it is so exciting that you went somewhere that i went last year...i liked munich a lot...especially the park along the river! i went running there one morning and also on a bikeride down the trail with my family. did you happen to go to the zoo...lol why go to a zoo in europe?...because your brother is throwing a fit and you have to make him shutup...well that is why we went.
did you go to the part in the river where they surf? it is pretty cool...and did you go to the palace there?
well i hope you are having tons of fun! i miss you!!! when do you get back?
David Does Berlin! Hey you! . . Sorry that it has been awhile since I left you a comment. .I was busy with work and such, you know. Still, I am super-jealous that you got to enjoy Berlin. . Amazingly enough, it was filled with cranes and such when I was there as well. It seems that maybe it is always like that.
Hope you are enjoying yourself and haven't run out of money yet. Take care of yourself!
Sand dunes and ice cream. I can't wait to see the pictures of the dunes. They sound incredible. You'll have Hot Licks but no beach carnival waiting for you upon your return.
Miss you and Sam. Let me know what you want to eat when you get home so it will be ready for you both.
Love, mom
Hello from a German I'm here at a music festival in Fairbanks, and there's an awesome jazz violinist from Berlin. I told him you're in that area, so he says hello! I hope everything is going well, when do you get home?

NaCl Rocks! I would never think of messing with JP2. The pictures are marvelous as well as the details of your trip. How long is your blog on the internet? Speaking of trips, I want to make our reservations to Middlebury. Do you want to go early and spend some time in Montreal or an East Coast city? Since it is Labor Day, I can get up to 8 days off - 4 days of it before student orientation. Let me know what you think. Miss you. Love, mom
mmm, salt i'm glad you decided you liked me enough to send me your travel updates, finally. i've read all of your adventures thus far. salt jesus and pope weird me out a little. don't they give horses salt licks? i just imagine a statue of jesus in a stable, getting licked tenderly by a horse. anyways, have fun and eat lots of delicious vegetarian things for me.
ah bucarest dont let the title miscontrue you to believe we've been there. it just sounds like a snaky, snaky, meaty place. good job on not trusting that snaky cab driver. you've met a lot of cool people it seems. when i went to texas i met a guy who was drinking jack daniels out of a red plastic gas tank on this river we were floating. top that
Space Babies? Drew just came back to Anchorage from Egegik last night and e-mailed me your link, so I read your whole book to date in one sitting. My eyes are blitzed from looking at sideways pictures. I hope the scenery in Norway is oriented more like the ones in AK so I don't hurt my neck trying to see the content. Probably won't be an issue, since Drew doesn't know how to write.... Glad to hear you are having such a grand adventure. I think you may be confusing decadent bourgios with exploitive capitalists, and (I forget the perjorative adjective) Aristocracy occassionally, but what the heck, if you can't be a little careless when you dis the past and present dominant power structures, what's the point. I was fascinated to see the anti-war poster. Who was it aimed at? Who did it hope to convince? It is interesting to hear about the political views of the people you meet, which fascinate me more than any musty old temple or reclining budda, (I was going to say stay out of the bars and the massage parlors, but I know you get your kicks above the waistline sunshine.) How much do the average citizens seem to remember the ideals that made "power to the people" such a compelling slogan? I always thought that had more of a ring than "Orthodoxy, Autocracy, and Nationalism" (circa 1902) Is the new motto "for the Euro-everything?" What topics preoccupy people most? What do they love to argue about? Are people receptive when you tell them that the usurpers represented by George W and Dick C do not represent the ideals of all (or even most) Americans? Everett wants to know why all you guys are going to different worlds - he disaproves of Drew and all his friends leaving him behind. Life may be simpler for a 5 year old, but it is still confusing. I never understood that Irish saying "may the road rise up to meet you" it sounds to me like a poteen swiller doing a face plant, so I'll just say I hope your shoes are holding up and your enthusiasm is holding out. P.S. If you want to rent the Bear Tooth to put on a real slide show, I'll gladly pay to see it!
mmmm...banana ice cream... Vienna sounds gorgeous! I know it may seem expensive, but that is how those modern and touristy places are these days. Thanks for posting some pictures! And I'm glad you were able to watch the final world cup...there is so little excitement surrounding it here.
On a side note: I have also been fortunate enough to have tasted European homeade ce cream -- the best you will ever find. My favorite (I recommend it if you can find it) is honeydew-flavored ice cream. Have fun and keep us updated!

psychedelic! Oh wow, that sounds like it'd be a blast! haha, who needs weed when you have art?! :D sounds like you're having an awesome time, and i'm still so jealous!!! can't wait to see the pictures!! ~lizzy
I have never been to Hungary but I was told to visit by some friends in Gratz. I know that you will love Austria. It is just beautiful. I espcially liked Salzburg. It is quaint and easy to get around. Write again soon. I haven't heard from Sam yet. Did he start a blog too? Have him send me his blog so that I can subscribe to his also.
Glad to hear from you I thought I was the only person who could lick your hand! (just joking)
When one of my relatives told me you saw Morrissey, I thought there was some mistake. After all, who was the one who bought "Kill Uncle" and plays Morrissey more than anyone else in the Parker/Yokoyama household? Sometimes, life is just not fair - I'm so jealous!
I'm back at home now and had a great time in California. I went fishing twice and the first time it hailed on us at 6000 feet. It was 100 degrees in the shade when we reached Sylmar. The trout were caught in "cold" water and given to Uncle Frank and Auntie Kazu (have Sam explain that to you).
I learned to play poker at my cousin Karen's house so we can set up a table when you return. My cousin Stan's daughter was in a play about Pockys and I have some waiting for you. More later. Love, Mom
I'm from Anchorage, Alaska, I really love learning foreign languages, cities, hiking, and slavic culture, so I've been planning a trip to Eastern Europe for about two years now, right after I graduate from High School. ... full info
