Well Done! Well done guys, proud of you, and not as worried now =)
I do enjoy a good bar graph Andy...
Happy Easter from Mairi, Derek and the Jackster!xx
It just keeps getting better As usual guys the tales and photos of your travels make me feel that I am there with you. Thank you. Keep well and take care. Ex
Sounds like you are having a great time, and learning a new sign language too! it's always useful to know your numbers....
Where are you going to be on Christmas day? I wonder what you'll be eating when we are tucking in to our turkey? What is the weather like over there? We still have no snow but it's cold and wet, slippery under foot this morning.
Hope you enjoy the next few weeks, looking forward to hearing the next installment, whenever that will be...

Good stuff! Sounds like you had as good a time as we did in Sth America! Great to read all your travel updates... brings back some good memories!
We're off back to India on Monday... a month in the South (Kerala/Goa) before heading home for Xmas, then back here for a year in Thailand working at the animal rescue centre! Should be fun!
RU at home for Xmas? If so we'll call and try and hook up.
Cheers for now

taties Oh how I chuckled when I read about the argument with the autobus authorities - it took me right back to sitting in a restaurant with cold spuds in old Stirling town. I think our protests were just as futile then too! At least you can always claim the moral high ground.
Keep the humourous commentary flowing, it brightens the grey gloom outside my office window...
Lack of photos... Sorry all... As you're aware we're onto camera number 3. So, although we now have a beautiful (working) Nikon (Sonys are pants) I foolishly sent home the disc required for downloading said photos onto computers... Blog seems destined to remain photoless, although we do have several thousand now stored on the old ipod. As long as nothing happens to this then there'll be plenty to bore you with on our return... Could always add photos to blog when we get home... Aye,
A&A.
Bolivia Ah, the memories! Copacabana, Isla del Sol, La Paz, the El Choro trek (did you see the Japanese gardens? was the old Jap still going? I've never seen such a hunched human being!!), Coroico (when we arrived they were on the 3rd day of a 3 day festival and the entire town was drunk!!!). Loved Bolivia.... guess things are changing with Morales in charge (hopefully for the betterment of the indigenous peoples! How long before the US bribes him off????). Your encounter in the bar sounds a bit dodgy though!!!
We're 3 weeks into working at the wild animal rescue centre near Cha-am south of Bangkok... love it here... I'd stay for life but I think Mel will have a thing or 2 to say about that! Working with gibbons, macaques, a tiger, sun bears and asiatic black bears, lorises, civets, binturongs (you look it up!!!), and helping to run neutering programmes for the local stray dog and cat populations for the local villages in our spare time! Being a vet means I probably get to do more than most which is nice! We've decided to forego further travel in SE Asia and Nepal for now and stay here until mid-November, when we're kind of committed to meeting a friend in Sth India... we'll see!!
Anyhow, keep enjoying the travels and posting the blogs... love 'em! When do we get some photos to look at??? Ours are at www.melandmark.smugmug.com if you fancy a peek!!!
great to hear about the journey, andy tells a great story, looking forward to the next one
enjoy (dont worry about the football, they are not very good) and have fun

Peru Yeah, we did that crossing into Peru and it was great!!! Loved Chachapoyas and Kuelap (where we got horribly drunk on something called Liquor de Mora) although we never went to Iquitos, we saved our jungle trip until we got to Bolivia!!!
We're back in Delhi having met a friend who's flown out and we're just back from the Taj... off to Ramnagar in Utteranchal tonight, then Himachal Pradesh for a couple of weeks (it's too bloody hot down here in the plains!!). More news in our next circular!!!
Boring boring England, eh??? Still, Watford got promotion to the Premiership, so who cares about Sven's boys!!!!!!!
world cup Off to World Cup on Monday for Sweden game and 2nd round if we get through. Dave and I taking a tent although where we'll pitch it I don't know.
The tickets I won with the Shell/Continental tyres competition were for T&T vs Paraguay, is that possibly the worst prize in the history of competitions? We'll try and get tickets for England Sweden and Dave has just e mailed me to say he's got 2nd round tickets if we win the group, so fingers crossed.
If England keep winning I'll keep nipping back to Germany until we get knocked out, probably means I'll only have the one trip.
Keep looking after each other and glad to hear Victor's still alive.

Vilcabamba All sounds good.... wwe stayed at Rio Yambala near Vilcabamba which was great!!! Currently just back from an 8 day Himalaya trek in Sikkim, by far the nicest bit of India we've been in to date... now chilling in Darjeeling for a few days!!!
Keep the news coming... we'll send a circular soon. Enjoy!!
