And so I have reached the end of my trip to Central Europe 2016. It has been good. I've seen many new places and visited several new (to me) countries. I expected to enjoy London and Slovenia and I did. Vienna was a real pleasure, too, and I'd certainly return there (and stay in the same hotel!) The biggest surprise? I'd have to say that honor goes to Croatia. Between Plitvice Lakes and Dubrovnik, Croatia surpassed my expectations by a wide margin. As I mentioned yesterday, Berlin has been more satisfying than I expected, too. It is the place to which I will be most likely to return, perhaps around the year 2020 when several of the major construction projects in the former East Berlin are completed.
