If you get a chance try to look up Michelle Icome, and Donavan Murrells. They could maybe help in our research.

Travel bug
When we sat in the bus waiting for it to goin Opatija we were struck with the travel bug when we saw all the places both in Croatia and in Europe that we could have caught the bus to but never mind we were off to adventures in England!

The last photo
I loved looking at the photos of the beautiful old homes, but that last one of the "Swimmer" took my breath away !!!

Croatia
Well your holiday in Croatia seemed to go very quickly, but you managed to give us a good look at the country. I suppose Rags would have liked to pack one of those ceramic containers full of wine in his back pack !That would have lasted you for awhile Rags. Hope you have a good flight to London.

The adventure continues...
That picture of the homes on the edge in Rovinj is a cracker. Such history there. Have fun :-)

Dubrovnik
Glad to hear you have arrived safe and sound. I bet you are enjoying a bit of cooler weather now. The photos are great.I remember seeing the Alps like that when I went over them, but I didn't think a photo would come out, so didn't take a photo.I dare-say you used the Zoom on your camera. Did you? What a pity everything is so expensive. You'll be noticing it after the prices in Mexico. Keep enjoying yourselves and tasting all that lovely food.

glad you made it in one piece. how many exchanges have you made for this entire trip?? how did you find peter and rachel? keep up the excellent blog, as we are living out our future trips through you.

final days
sounds like you were hell bent to get everything all in during your visit. the bus driver did an unscrupulous little deed on your trip to playa grande. if you are the only ones on the bus and you don't know where you are going they will do a short turn and not go directly into the village to drop you at the church where i said they would. makes up time and you don't know any better. little bastards, lol. walk was on you, sorry about that. you will have to leave me all sorts of info on the people you have met. hope your visit was a good one. we are getting pretty excited about coming down. we have received another offer from friends to the south in barra de navidad to exchange for a week. check out their place at this site, www.villasantabarbara.ca ... yeah, same name as our place. drop me an email before you leave. cheers jim

Final Week
Not long now and you'll be on your way again. I hope your able to send as many photos from Croatia as your sending from Mexico. I would love to be going to Croatia, I feel quite envious of that part of your holiday. The beaches look lovely in the photos in Mexico, but ofcourse no-way as beautiful as the beaches at Esperance. The sand looks a dirty tan in P V. Is it ? Hope to receive an answer to my e-mail soon, love Mum

And I thought my favourite colour was green!
I put off reading your events as I know my yearning will start immediately. I bet you haven't thought about us once :-) Keep on keeping on. Love Di

Drugs
I don't think drugs are aproblem here any more than anywhere else. You often get a whiff of marijuana in Perth, just like here.

Zip Lines
The oldest person they had doing it was 78 so sure you could still manage it if you wanted! Good to hear you think we both look healthy!

Sounds Like Fun
While the rain still pours down in Busselton, what we would give for some lovely warm weather similar to what you are experiencing. We look forward to reading your Blogs and what a difference they are to when you first went backpacking several years ago.

Zip Lines
That looked great fun ! Not for me, but for you ! I must say you both look disgustingly well. Beaut. photos though .

Cruise
Well the photos certainly showed how much you enjoyed yourselves !! It looks like it was a great day out for you both. Pity the poor blokes that had to have the Hand Cuff torture, but perhaps it may teach them a lesson. Are drugs a big problem there ?

White Swans
Are you in for a surprise Jim !!?? I may tell you that we have beautiful White swans in Perth along with lovely white Pelicans. Perhaps it's because we are so isolated here that our birds are so pristine. By the way, our sea gulls are clean too !
14th September 2007

pelicans
are you trying to tell me you have "cleaner" pelicans in perth than we do? those are fighting words..... i think our pelicans are worldly, not sanitized. if i remember correctly, aussies don't even have white swans, like the rest of the civilised world... harrumph

musica
las carmelitas is indeed great for the best view. go on a clear night. the wee hairy man playing guitar in your picture is bobby tanzen. he is scottish. he knows me. if you see him again tell him you are staying at our place. he calls me jamie or most commonly ""scotty". check out destiladera beach halfway to punta mita. great for a stroll and swimming. couple of little restaurants. look carefully for the entrance 'cos it comes up quickly on a curve. it's under an arch on the left hand (beach) side as you head out that way. also bucerias is interesting.

Restaruante
Los Carmalitos is the name of the restarante on top of the mountain. A cover charge to get in but it comes off your bill. Be sure to go for dinner, the best view of PV. PS Take a sweater!
