HELLO Hi liliram , at times i get tired so i stay in one place for awhile until i am ready to join the backpacker's circle again. The best thing about my travels is meeting people from all over and becoming lifelong friends and i get to visit them in their country, and i have a place to stay!!
Gil, where do you get all the energy? From one pinoy to another, you amaze me with your stamina. I have been following your blogs, and I reckon you have been traveling non-stop for some 3 years? Wow, and you are getting better with that camera! Where to next, Gil?
Wow. Read through some of your blogs. You've been to so many places. How can you afford to do all of that traveling without working?? I wish I could do the same :(

Visas ... for Kosovo?!?! Well I guss you have learned. When you get in a "country" like Kosovo which tends to selfproclaim it's borders and sovereignity ... I gues you understand that "stamps" and "visas" come in the same package .... ie. they are non-existant!
By the way, you should go straight to Albania, to see an original of Kosovo.
Your title reference to an "illegal imigrant" is excelent, though! Entire albanian population of, so call - Kosovo is living there for one max. two generations. They are the illegal immigrants from Albania to the Serbian land.
Happy New Year Hi Gil.....Looks like you are having a great time while we are all frozen and wet up here in Oregon! It is fun to read your blog....we were in Mexico two years ago right before a LARGE hurricane hit! The place we were staying at near Cancun was destroyed two days after we left!!!! Joe and our daughter leave on New Years day for their African adventure! Have fun and continue the great photo's!
Poor tourism wow u went to abuja in 2008 and ur pictures do not do the city justice at all!! what an extrememly inaccurate representation of the beautiful city abuja is at this time!!!
Krakow Krakow is a really worth to see place, similar to Prague and a bit to Budapest. I was there with www.greetingsfrompoland.com - they are Poland travel specialists.
radio show interview Hello, I'd love to talk to you about your travels and consider having you on our radio show. Please visit www.traveln-on.com to learn more about our show and obtain our contact information (in the event my email is not attached to this message). Thanks much.
The people living in the slums may not be ethnic Serbs but are Serbian in the sense that they live in Serbia! In fact most of them were probably born in the country so that entitles them to every bit of consideration as the 'real' Serbs. Does these people's ethnicity take away from the fact they are living in destitution? Or is it ok for them to live like that because they are gypsys?
ferry crossing..... Hi Gil....you are coming the opposite direction that Joe and Stormi will be going.....she has been advised to get a room on the ferry that will cross the lake as it sometimes takes three days...this from a driver for Dragoman.......will you be crossing the lake to get into Egypt? I am assuming so ...thought you would like to check it out.
SUDAN ROCKS Probably the friendliest country weve been to in Africa, quite safe, locals hardly hassle you not lots of tourists other than UN people and occasional backpackers, they sure will enjoy it....
Into Sudan? Hi Gil....joe and i are enjoying your blog and your photo's are AMAZING! He and our daughter will be leaving the states on Jan 1, heading to Cairo, then into Sudan and on to Ethiopia....I am anxiously awaiting your comments on Sudan as I worry about them already!
