Loving it! Hi Katy
Thanks for the updates... it is SO incredible to read about your journeys - sounds like it's been an amazing experience thus far! (Studio audience?! Kindergarten??!) Hope all's well, thinking of you lots... M.
photos! Katy, I don't know if I've ever told you this...but you take beautiful photos! I love my new little digital camera, but I feel like I've lost the ability to take really good shots...I miss my big fat old canon. Whatever you have, you use it well. Keep posting!
Victoria Peak! Dim Sum! Thanks for the photos, Katy! You're visiting my birthplace! I don't remember much, but when i was little, i lived near Victoria Peak! yumm... dim sum... your adventures are amazing!
love,
joy
keep looking look for the signs that say bead stores...there's gotta be a few over there...I'm not sure I quite get the polka dotted pumpkin..looks more like swiss cheese of the orange variety or a sickly lady bug....but whatever you say. Any my final comment. I don't think anyone wants crabs. Just my thoughts.
Hey Katy,
Yes...Place Bellecour...one of the sites of my misspent youth. Glad to hear you're having such a good time. I liked Vimy a lot, too. Such a beautiful and moving monument. Never did make it to Arras, though it looked good from the photos.
Bonne continuation!
Gladys
Hey Katy! Hearing about your travels brings back good memories of that train route. I never really took the time to stop much in each spot, I was always on the way to somewhere else. I know...the old saying about life happens while blah, blah, blah. Well, way to live it, girl! That hostel sounds beautiful as does the rest of the country. Enjoy!
Ahhh... Nice... Hi Katy and Jenn! Glad to hear Nice is as gorgeous as always - aren't the palm trees lining the main street (next to the sea... and the nude beach... don't remember the name, but that main drag is part of the World Cup circuit... so I've skated it... many... many... times over) incredible?! And veille Nice! Awesome!!! Terra-cotta everything! Can't wait to see pictures, thinking of you lots - have fun in Monaco!!! love M.
Wales was the closest to heaven Hey Joy and the rest of the readers,
Wales was truly a dream and those photos are just the tip of the iceberg. Everyone must go there.
love you all.

garsh Hey Katy, tail between my legs, realized I spelled your name like mine in my last comment, ho hum, garsh I feel bad (and clearly disoriented, what has this Nova Scotia town done to my brain!) I went for a walk through Kejmkujik the other week and thought of you, we were talking about dowsing wands...awwww. If you missed them in London, Ben's Cookies are at the market building in Oxford too. xoxox. Be well
YAY!!! First update!!! Hi Katy and Jenn! I've been checking emails for the past few days hoping for a TravelBlog update -- so good to hear from you. Sounds like things have gotten off to a great start. Please extend my birthday wishes to Jenn; what a great way to celebrate another year of life - traveling, exploring, rejoicing in friendship. Looking forwards to following your journeys vicariously through your blog... thinking of you both often and lots... Happy trails through Britain, love Megs
Love London! Hey Katy!
Glad to hear that London is treating you well. Such a great place. Don't forget to hit the Tate Modern...a piece of architectural re-purposing genius. English fish and chips...is there anything better?
Toodles,
Gladys
ben's cookies! Hey Katie, have a great trip, don't forget about Ben's Cookies (there should be one in the south kensington subway station, oh heavenly, eat em up, and tell me about it, I miss them!!!
Happy foodie travels Hey Katy,
Glad to hear the details of trip one. While in Lyon, try to catch the only thing I didn't get to scratch off my "Must Eat When in France" list this summer...salade de museau. Who knew that random bits of snout mixed with mini pickles could be so tasty?
Have a fantastic year!!!
Gladys
Hi Katy,
Naomi is also in England right now! She is studying in East Sussex, at Herstmonceux castle. We said our tearful goodbyes last night but we're already talking on skype! I love England and love to hear all about your adventures! I'd also love to join you on a pub crawl and go for fish and chips and mushy peas... but I'll just have to settle for a cuppa tea and some bikkies here instead! Have a great time!
love,
joy
missed you dear Katy, we thought about you as we read your journal, and what a fabulous adventure you had, Marianna and I listened to your music cd that you made, and it calmed us and made us want to listen more. looking forward to hearing first hand about your trip.

Hey everyone,
I must admit I have the travel bug again but the travelling is slowing down just a little bit. After much travelling in Canada, Europe, Colombia, Grenada and Trinidad in the Caribbean I took a sabbatical from teaching to head off on a series of travel adventures to different parts of the world. My first stop-England, Wales, France and Monaco. My second trip from October to December I was in Asia and Southeast Asia-Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam and then south to New Zealand. In the spring I was in Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Germa... full info
