Hey Happy Traveller... Hi Hotty,
I can't believe it...You are back on holiday again. I am so excited I get to go back to Africa again through you. You know how I enjoyed the last adventure and now look forward to more fun and exciting times. Sounds like the journey over was very tough but I am sure you will have a blast now you are there. Stay safe and I look forward to hearing from you along the way.
All the same here in Adelaide for me still in the same role and just cruising along at the moment. I may be heading back to NZ in September I am not sure as yet. How long are you away for this time? We may be able to catch up bacvk in NZ?? Take care and we will talk soon. TB xx
Drunken Poms..... Hi Tracey... am assuming that the drunken UK people you met were us ?? You were a very bad influence, thats all I can say :)) We will have to endure the boat trip in the next 3 weeks.. am just hoping its a bit calmer than your trip.. horrendous. Not long before we are back to reality too.. :( Was great to meet you xx
Hey Ames.....Nothing to worry about re safety....you guys will be fine. Not that I venture out too late at night or anything and I try to avoid dark alley ways :-) Although my guest house in Siam Reap is a bit dodgy....I had people knocking on my door at midnight last night telling me they had "free fruit".....needless to say I didn't open the door for them!
I'm Back... Hey Tracey,
Great to still read about all of your fantastic travels. I am still very jelous after having three weeks off myself and not doing anything exciting at all. Has been a two week heat wave here in Adelaide around 40 degrees every day so work has been a bit crazy. Take care and stay safe. Luv TB XXX
cool sounds like lots of fun... really looking forward to arriving in 4 weeks. I was a little worried based on info I had read about the safety of PP....but if you can do it on your own then all will be ok!
looking to catching up and hearing all about it.
Hi Tracey:
Thanks very much. I will defintiely visit the Islamic Art Museum on the short stay and probably the souk on the longer lay-over. Happy travels to you too. Trudy.

Dubai Hey Drew
I bought clothes....nothing you'd be interested in. Although I did think of you yesterday when I came across a market area in Bangkok totally dedicated to tools and hardware....you'd be in heaven!
Cheers

Info on stopover in Doha Hi Trudy
Thanks for the feedback on my travel blog :-)
To be honest with you there isn't a lot of touristy stuff to do in Doha....if you are going to be there during the day on the 6 hour stopover the options are really to go to the Islamic Art Museum (short taxi ride from the airport) or to a shopping centre...Landmark is probably a good one as Villagio is quite a distance or you could head to the corniche and take a dhow ride on the water...the dhows aren't far from the museum. Or if you are there in the late afternoon or evening a dhow ride and a wander around Souk Wakif is a good option...the souk isn't far from the museum.
For the 13 hour stopover you could always look into going out to the desert on a tour and doing a spot of dune bashing in a 4wd, but once again it depends on the time of day.
Public transport is pretty much non existent so you'll need to use taxis and they are relatively cheap.
Happy travels....hope this has helped.
Cheers
Tracey
shop Central So what did you buy in Dubai? We did exactly the same , except for the skiing, had coffee in same shop and the kids won a watch in the gamezone thing up stairs!!!!
Sounds like you are having such a tough time Tracey, what with staying in new hotels and drinking coffee while watching skiers....best you get back home and avoid those hardships...ha,ha,ha.
On second thoughts...enjoy every minute of it, sleep late, drink lots, cause all too soon you will be back here and normal working life will resume.
a 13 hour stop-over in Doha Hey Tracey:
Great pics and description of Doha.
I am a new travelblog.org member and I am looking for info.
I'm travelling to Bangladesh via Doha. It appears to be easy enough to get a transit visa for a day in Doha so I was just wondering what you would reccommend I do, with a 6 hour and then a 13 hour stop-over in Doha.
Trudy (that is my real name - funny that your friend in Doha has the same)
Holidays. Hey Hotty,
Sounds like you are still having a great time. The photos again are fantastic.
I may not reply for some time as I am going on leave for the next three weeks but will send something as soon as I return at the end of Novemeber. All good here in little old Adelaide with some fantastic weather now upon us expecting a lovely 28 degrees today. Enjoy the remaider of the adventure and I will talk to you soon. TB xxx

It is great to see you always have constant reminders of me but I am a bit offended, Little Dik Dik....lol. Anyway keep on living it up and as always I will eagerly be awaiting the next episode. Great blog by the way. TB xx
