didn't this occur years ago? wow. what time is it?
what year is it?
this posting came to me on 02/20/08.
i don't even remember how long ago you you went here..
time traveling is so bizarre. but fun!
I thought you were back already.. Aren't you?
Well.. it's good to see that you've extended your trip not only timewise, but geographically.. wow. you are really going into Argentina.. i guess you must really like it despite what you say..
the answer.. Going under the assumption that no two letters can equate to the same number...
O = 0
M = 1
Y = 2
E = 5
N = 6
D = 7
R = 8
S = 9
or
9567
+ 1085
= 10652
Man. Are all people from other countries assholes.. or is it only the self-righteous, trendily anti-American ones? No wonder we have to travel the world killing them. Guys, I went thru a phase of resentful post-adolescent angst too... except I just wore alot of eye-liner and pretended to care about post-modern philosophy.
Get over yourselves.
McEmpanadas? I wouldn't normally comment on my own blog. But the post clearly states that all we could find to eat is steak, pasta and pizza. I haven't been to a McDonald's in a very long time, but if McDonald's in Argentina serves pizza, pasta and/or steak, maybe Argentina isn't so bad.
Or, maybe it still is.
.... Ummm Whoever wrote all that BS can't be more wrong.
And yah if you come to argentina to eat cheese burgers at Mc Donald's you're most likely not gonna find anything new than the same yankeeland rubbish you're used to...
BTW how can you even talk about a serious country when you're from the U.S? :rolleyes: Most hated Country in the World with a Monkey for a President (George Dubya Bush)
Que Pasta?? Yes yes they are well known for their 'cowboys' (gaucho's) and their beef. As well as siesta's! but I can not picture a sleepy mullet ridden cowboy choppin on a T-bone. Or can I?? Have fun stay safe.
Did you try something else than Mc Donnalds? Did you ever try while in Argentina something else that the so called Mc Donnalds Restaurant? Because from your comments on food I think you were eating only at Macs.
Have you heard of fish: Merluza, for example is in every restaurant, as every restaurant do have a salad bar, or al least a good selection of vegetables. What you wrote is not at all true. Not to mention that in some places you can get: locro (stew), guiso de lentejas, salmon, fish from the Parana river: dorado, surubi, pacu...(go to Rosario if not found in BA). How about the deer and boar in Bariloche, or the lamb in Patagonia...You here talking about the whole Argentina, or...only BA? How about chicken? Chicken is everywhere..Well, you know Argentina is very, very big and has a lot more than Pizza/pasta/steak...buy the way: there 30 different ways of eating beef that are not "steak" in ARG, try one or two: peceto con papas, colita a la cacerola, matambre...
sometimes fate plays a hand.. it might've been a good thing you couldn't get your contact lenses in.. you don't want to get salt in your eyes... sometimes it's better to have protective glasses. why do they cut those rectangles so perfectly? and in a straight line like that?
i guess the real nudity is in brazil.. hey! nice sculptures.. but i can see that kind of nudity here! looks like you are heading west... nice to see you are both feeling better..
in the NECK of time. I am late in reading mail but the NECK of a chicken was grandma O's favorite!! She heartily munched with both hands on the neck. You were raised by a NECK hater, hense no experience in munching necks. Munch on!!
a trip to remember You'v been so healthy your whole life, this trip has been an experience in more than one way!! I hope all goes well now. I've now read up on Portuguese, which Brazilians all understand. The Portuguese in Brazil vs Portugal is like English in US vs English in the UK. Very interesting. I hope this message gets to you, I'm not a member like they ask for.
now, that's something.. wow! that museum is something! (reminds me of the famed wood carving museum in south dakota, where sylvester the talking piece of wood welcomes you to a pretty hokey collection of wood carvings all made by one guy that i guess used to work for disney.. at least if you took his wood carvings at face value..) and that ship coming out of the building is something too! as are the ruins! where are the pictures of the pool? thanks for sharing your entries and photos!
excellent. alright! you got to see the iguazu falls! i have always wanted to see them. it's too bad about the concrete and steel. it would be nice if it was a little more eco-friendly.. but often in this world, money plays a big part unfortunately. high-profile sites bring lots of high-paying people and high-paying people, although some being very accepting of lower than they are used to standards, are typically wanting of better than they are used to standards, even in remote places where these standards are unheard of, until high-paying people start coming. it would be nice if the money made by all of this really did somehow help the local communities and environment though. certainly, someone is benefiting. ultimately, nature prevails over all for me! i want more pictures of the falls!
I'm Kyle. I'm almost 30 and I've never set foot outside of the US (unless you count Tijuana, which I don't). I've always wanted to travel, but never had the wherewithal - until last summer when I won a round-trip ticket to Rio de Janeiro. So South America's where I'm headed, two months is how long I'll be there, and Canada's where I'll tell people I'm from. Y'know, so people won't be confused by my politeness.
I'm Eden. I spend too much time thinking of cute things to say about myself. I also usually write in lowercase, but I guess Kyle's proper capitalization made me feel sheepish. I... full info
