Seems like the Elliott's are enjoying the relaxing camper life! Western Coast of South Island seems pretty rugged, much like our West Coast. Looking forward to our visit in August.
trip to QLD Hope the weather improves so you can enjoy the sights further south, starting with the glaciers…spectacular, walk right up close to them! We are so looking forward to seeing you both! When you book, fly to Gold Coast airport rather than Brisbane as it's a shorter flight and it's closer to home. If you can't get suitable flights then Brissie will be fine. Enjoy yourselves!! All so interesting Tim. Hope that sun comes out soon. Big snowstorm coming here on Tuesday when I leave for London and Cape Town. Fingers crossed. Love JandJ
trip south It sounds like you have had a wonderful trip so far! The area you are going to is so beautiful…scenery, Picton, Nelson, Abel Tasman Park are all lovely. Blenheim area has more vineyards than we've ever seen…even in the Cape! We had a lovely lunch at Brancott estate, where we tasted the best white wine, Sauvignon Gris!!! You need to try it in NZ as we've not been able to find it in Aus. An earthquake a while back wrecked the road south through Kaikoura, which is so sad as it's a lovely place. So to get south you'll have to go by another route. You are in for a real treat on the South Island…enjoy yourselves!!! See you soon! Roly & Pat xxx
Greetings Hi Roly & Pat Arrived today on ferry and drove via Queen Charlotte Drive to Nelson & now at Montueka for two nights. Then up to Golden Bay and Tasman Park. NZ is absolutely stunning & so easy to travel around. Will definitely look out for Sav Gris!!
Love to you both

Envy Hi Tim and Sue, yes we're envious of what you are experiencing so far. It is great to hear that you are soaking up the days, with not just sunshine and magnificant sites, but also a little tipple in the evenings to go with it. Can't wait to see pics of fish........nothing under 60cm !
Looking forward to the next blog. Take care.

I guess you don't talk about Rugby too much in NZ given our current status! Take care and we will look forward to the next installments John & Mary
Reminiscing Hi Tim and Sue. It's 06:50am Tuesday morning and the Woodridge bus just started it's morning journey east. What fun to read about your exciting journey far, far away from here. Cannot wait for the rest of your travel stories. Thanks!
Happy memories of Sydney and Auckland Tim: great descriptions and photos of your trip so far. Fascinating new trend of campervanning. Certainly gets you to some beautiful spots. You bring back great memories of our trip in 1987 to Sydney, Auckland and Perth when I was invited guest by the Royal College of Australasian Surgeons. Did have to give several presentations in each center, though. I'd much rather be there with you and Sue on this trip. Look forward to hearing, and certainly learning, more about New Zealand as you continue your trip. Love from Jeanette and from me to you both. Julien.
Great statistics Hi Tim and Sue. Thanks for those flight statistics... Next time my palms get sweaty and heart rate increase when entering an aircraft, I'll remind myself that it's actually a safe place to be. So excited on your behalf. ENJOY the yourney!
