Venice? Mate looks like you are having an awesome time. Very jealout about the canyon as this is on my list of places to go and the helicopter ride sounds the way to go but expensive I bet.
They have just opened the Venician Casino here in Macau and it is run by the same sands group from LV. Mate this thing is actually bigger than the american outfit. When you come back this way I will take you over.
Take care of yourself matey,
Norf
Green Army Glad to see that your doing your bit in the global effort of brand development and awareness for Plymouth Argyle especially in asia, keep up the good work.
Arrived in Indonesian capital of Jakarta on the 9th July from KL, having said my goodbyes to Amir who was flying back to Bangkok later that day (prior to returning to Burma).
Carried a ltr of Gin (to drink with my Breakfast!) in my hand luggage which was confiscated from me as no fluids are allowed in hand luggage, doh!
Anyway, what can I say about Jakarta, with a population of 8.5 million people you'd expect the city to be full of site to go and visit, unfortunately you'd be wrong!! When I arrived, I asked a few people what were the main things to see, after a considerable pause the list was always very short!
Guess the Main site was the National monument that was in the centre (if there is a centre to Jalarta), and went to visit this and the Welcome monument. I'm sure there were some other sites to see, but with such heavy traffic and pollution, I didn't fancy travelling around the city.
Well the traffic problems and the polution just added to the cities charm, and after just two nights I was off to the bus station to get
Welcome Monument - Jakarta
a bus to Pangandaran (on the west coast of Java). Since, alot of the travellers I have met spent about the same amount of time!
Next Surfing in Pangandaran...............
Return of the Jedi?? Mate great to see you back on the road. Let me know your plans for August as I am on my Hol's. Can not do July as off to China then Japan (following your trail mate!). Not sure if you being back on the road is a case of the empire strikes back or return of the jedi, I always thought you were more on the dark side my friend!! Have a good one and you can always swing by HK!!
Don't feel bad about the scammers. We came to Cambodia the hard way, and it wasn't much cheaper than what you described. Although, we called their bluff on the extra costs about the visa...No matter what, going by land to Cambodia from Thailand is a pain in the butt. Later
Spiderman Funny that the best ever Toby Maguire look-a-like should have his picture taken with spideman! Seems like you're living the dream out there. Best wishes, Shad!!!
So what are you up too? Hello dude,
Trust all is going well. I hope (but don't belive) you are behaving yourself?
Will maybe come and meet you on some part of the tour.
