Great to hear from you and the kids - it is nice that you guys are having some quality time together - time goes so quickly and soon they will be involved in their own families. I am so proud of you and Sean Cindy and how you have raised your family and the lessons for life you have made available for them. Life here in Florida is great and living in our kindergarten for seniors is more than I ever hoped for in retirement - its a great life - love you guys and give Hayden and Sarah a special hug for me - love ya

Sunny days What a place to be. So close to beach etc and able to just relax and enjoy. The sun and the sand. You will all be thrilled to have Lindsay with you soon. And Sarah may have more activities by then to keep her occupied and stories to tell Lindsay❤️

stone The stone that you didn't know about is referred to as the Hitching post of the sun. We had a little guide book with us when we were there. Machu Picchu is one of my favourite places on earth! Here is some info from a web site on the hitching post: has been shown to be a precise indicator of the date of the two equinoxes and other significant celestial periods. The Intihuatana (also called the Saywa or Sukhanka stone) is designed to hitch the sun at the two equinoxes, not at the solstice (as is stated in some tourist literature and new-age books). At midday on March 21st and September 21st, the sun stands almost directly above the pillar, creating no shadow at all. At this precise moment the sun "sits with all his might upon the pillar" and is for a moment "tied" to the rock. Pretty cool! What a nice clear day you had there and it looks like you were not crowded! Looking forward to the next post :)
ends of the earth! I had a dream about you guys lastnight. You were home and had had a fantastic trip. It appears that you are at the ends of the earth! Thanks for the blogging...it has been great!

Pisac Hi, I am a friend of Kelly's, she sent me your blog address. We were in Peru two years ago and went to Pisac too. We made a grave error and ate at the market. We got very ill!!! I hope that you were smarter than us :) We tried Chica and found it to be not too bad, a good way to meet some of the locals and to see into thier houses. I will be following your family and your posts. I wish I were there with you! Have fun.
