Hello! I'm Christina and I studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia in 2011. I just graduated from my US university and am about to move to Saudi Arabia! I try to take every opportunity to travel that I can. I've been to Canada, Mexico, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Czech Republic, Australia, and New Zealand. I plan to use this blog to share my travel experiences with other travelers.
I've been told I'm particularly good at planning "stuff to do" when traveling so I have a few lengthy guides that I'll be posting as I finalize them. I hope you enjoy reading & viewing! Feel free to contact me if you are traveling abroad, especially if you are visiting a country I've been to!

Must do in D.C. The District of Colombia is a small square that borders the Potomac river, Virginia, and Maryland. Home of the United States government, this historic city has a lot to do and see. I live only 2-3 hours from D.C. so all of my trips there have been just for the day. There is more to be seen than can ever be seen and plenty for the whole family to enjoy in this city. Rule #1 for visiting D.C. - Prepare to walk. Good walking shoes are a must as you'll most likely be tramping through several museums, city streets, or down the lengthy "mall" to see most of the monuments. Most tourists are interested in a few things, namely the monuments (Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, White House, US Capital) and the museums ... read more

It has been suggested to me that I might want to consider writing an Ebook providing details of how I've managed to travel (cheaply) as a college student. It doesn't seem that revolutionary to me but then again, I know what I'm doing. Maybe others would be interested. Comment if you have an option. Thanks.... read more

Must do in New York City: I’ve been to NYC many times. Recently I was there for only 2 days. Therefore I had to figure out what I wanted to show my touristy friends in a very short amount of time. There is so much to see in this city but here is my recommendation if you only have a few days in the “Big Apple”. (This is not exactly what we did, I can upload that list if requested, but this is what I suggest having organized my master list by areas of the city.) First, decide exactly what you want to see/snap pictures with. I'm planning a short trip to New York City this summer and will be finally complying a guide to the city, similar to my Melbourne guide. I have been to NYC many times, but never in the summer, so this will be a fun experience. Plus my best friend is coming with me! Gonna be a great time. Any way, if you liked my Melbourne guide or are interested in visiting NYC yourself, watch for my NYC travel guide list. I plan to have it up in early July. Cheers!... read more

Here is my extensive list of everything you need to know about visiting Australia (Melbourne & Sydney): Now with pictures! Of course there's a lot more to Australia than just these two cities, but they are popular and I spent considerable time in both so they are the ones I'm most versed in. Disclaimer: I was in Australia in 2011, so some of this information may be out-of-date (restaurants closed, museum prices raised, etc.) To Do in Melbourne: - Queen Victoria Market. Lots to see, fresh produce, clothes, hats, etc. Look for the sales, negotiate for better prices. Only open certain days of the week. Get a burger (it is huge, cheap, and has egg, cheese, etc., so delicious, I think the vendor is down the cheese aisle). Get a beer (Holgate Brewhouse Temptress Chocolate Porter) ... read more
