Locked Out Hi Tanya,
It looks like you're having the same hockey experience I did nearly 20 years ago - it was another lock out then and no NHL hockey to be seen, a tragedy for a ex-pat Montreal-born Habs fan. I ended up watching some second-tier hockey, which was better than nothing.
I don't think you missed much of Toronto. It's a nice enough city, but it's just a city. Food can be excellent, though. Niagara Falls is a grand spectacle.

How fantastic to hear from you Henry!! I hope all is well for you and your family :)
Sadly, the lock out is continuing...I'll have to focus my energies on trying to go to a football game (or something similar) when I am in the States.
Vancouver is an amazing city to visit, I\'ve been planning a trip for several weeks now and been looking for the best places to visit. So far, I\'ve found several tips and I\'m fascinated by places like Granville Island. Recently I\'ve come across wonderful Granville Island photos and I can\'t wait to get there. I enjoyed your article, but maybe you could write something more on this wonderful place...
Hi Mike,
Thanks for reading my blog and leaving a comment. I'd be more than happy to share my thoughts etc on Vancouver if you let me know what you are after...I loved the city and am excited that I will be returning in December for the final two days of my trip before I fly home to Australia.
Cheers,
Tanya
legend from down under Hi Tanya. Very very very impressed with your singing talents!!!! Way to go!!!! Wish I could have been in the crowd. The Falls sound absolutely amazing!!! So glad you weren't in America when hurricane Sandy went through. Keep enjoying your travels. Love reading and following your wonderful trip!!! Take care and keep singing.
Love the whiteheads xxxxxx
What a train ride!!!!!! Hi Tanya. Another exciting entry. The mall sounded absolutely amazing, i gather that one day probably wasn't enough to get around to explore everything!!! So lovely to catch up with one of your travelling friends. You would have had a fantastic day together. What a train ride!!!!!! OMG what a lengthy time to be on a train, a real experience for you. I remember going on the ALL ABOARD in grade six, it was a week trip on a train around Victoria. It was a great week!!! Michelle is home this weekend so I am very excited to be seeing little Miss Zara. Continue having a great time and living the dream. Keep safe and take care. love the whiteheads xxxxx
Ah, the great train trip around Victoria...actually that would have been a pretty good train trip getting to see all of the different scenery that we have within the one state.
Hope you've been able to catch up with Michelle, Scott and Zara...Zara is getting so big now, lots of confidence too which I love!
Rockies WOW WOW WOW is all I can say!!!! Your trip looks amazing and not to mention bloody cold. Keep up the posts - I love reading them. Stay safe and enjoy. Love the Whiteheads xxxxxx
p.s pictures are unreal xxxx
Thanks Rael!! It was absolutely amazing to visit the Rockies...a lifetime travel dream fulfilled!
I'm on the train for the next few days and I am not sure if I will have wifi - if not, next travel blog will be in Toronto!!
I didn't take a photo...however it is very easy to google it!! If you have the patience to wait, I'd be happy to put it on the next time I see you :) - or maybe I could save it for Christmas Day.
It's funny, I was amazed at how hilly it was, but hopefully you can see from the pictures that it is absolutely gorgeous and a really great place to have a relaxing visit.
Sorry to hear about your bites Sounds like they were trying to eat you alive. Glad the pharmacists medicated you. I always get some sort of bites when we travel. We'd like to go to Luxembourg so thanks for the nice blog. I didn't picture it that hilly.
In January of 2011 I am about to embark on a four month trip of a lifetime. I'm off to South America to start followed by Europe and the UK. I don't have a lot of travel plans right now - I'm looking forward to not having too many plans and deadlines on my trip!
I have the best of intentions of keeping people up to date via this blog, but....we'll just see how those intentions turn out!
