Offer of a bed in Auckland... Hey Clive, really looking forward to hearing all about your amazing adventures. You will, of course, have a warm welcome in Auckland but we may also be able to source you some comfy beds in Australia too. Again, an awesome challenge. Well done you (and only you know how well you've done...) Von x
Hey Clive, what an amazing trip you have planned and looking forward to reading all about it ! Glad to say i found your blog unlike Von who was trying to access it whilst sitting in the Koru lounge in San Diego....and i\'m supposed to be the I.T illiterate one. Cycle safe xxxx
Safe Journey Only 18 days to go before your off. So exciting and look forward to following your journey. We are currently in Puri having enjoyed a few days in the hill stations of Odissa. Miss you and we speak of you often. All good of course. Best Wishes as you wind down UK and say hello world!
Herefordshire Trip Hey Smiler,
I'm looking out the window thinking this hectic weather is pushing the boundaries of "character building". What a good test these next few days are going to be for you.
Stay safeā¦ x
Dear Lord Sturdy.... It's been really interesting reading about your travels. A fantastic trip. But I'm curious about the picture of those animals on the beach. Seals, did you say? Are you SURE they were the real thing? They looked rather wooden to me....
Meet the Ashleys Glad that you enjoyed helping Pete and Jan to practise their b+B techniques. They have chosen the most fantastic spot and their hospitality is second to none!
poser well im glad to see that you are still managing to get your picture taken everywhere!! must be the sight of your shorts that attracts people to you. glad you are doing the cultural tour of britains....pubs!! missing you on friday nights, got no pink t shirts or crazy dancing to entertain us. oh well. hope this blog makes it to your page!! miss you crazy clive, nicola xxx
Wow Wow Clive, thats dedication! Haha it reads a bit like a shaggy dog story! you did really well to track him down. I had wondered if you were going to meet up, hope Noel is well. Hope all is going well, and that it doesnt piss with rain too much. Angus
Finally checked out your blogg - awesome! There is a great pub in Crookhaven, hope you had time to try it out! I am off to canoe round Angelsey this week. I doubt you will have made it to North Wales by then but you never know!! Let me know when you get back to Fishguard I am near there next weekend!!
Happy peddling!!
Geography Mate - good to see the tour going well - although the blue zip-up cycle shirt seems to be taking a bit of a pounding - lets hope you've got some washing powder with you. Does your visit to Bristol count as 'The West Country' like it does to most Londoners, or did you miss the episode of Coast with remote places like Devon and Cornwall in it. If you do plan to come to the Real West, my garden is reasonably level for pitching your tent (watch out for dog poo though)! Safe riding mate - take care - Rob G
Packed lunch A few too many packed lunches on display in those photos mate! Hope the anti chafe cream is doing its stuff! All the best of luck, oh and what a delight it must have been if you were in wales when we trounced them! Angus
slacker!!! Come on Clive I thought you would be at least half way round Ireland by now!!! And whats all this about having a day off from drinking?? You had me believe that you were once a hard-core drinking matlow- so much for that!
Im going to have a really big party in your house before you come back, Neil is even going to bring a herd of sheep for the back yard...better hurry up!!!
Vic
Over 5 years have passed since I cycled around the UK and Ireland and the time has come to get back in the ol' saddle. This time I will attempt to initially make the shores of New Zealand, initially cycling through Europe to Istanbul, the gateway to Asia, before following the silk routes through Central Asia and China to the Far East. Following a flight or preferably a boat journey to Australia, I will attempt to cycle across the Nullabor from Perth to Sydney, before heading onwards to New Zealand. I look forward to sharing my journey with you.... full info
