Hi Ady, just seen your kind comments on my blog. Thank you. Hope you are doing well. Are you still living in Southsea? Hope you had a fantastic time with your drive. What are you up to nowadays?

Dear Sturdmeister, Outstanding effort my old starboard flip-flop. Well done and kudos for all your journeys. Time for a holiday presumably? But where? Say hi to Portsmouth for me! Andy, Elspeth, Murdo and Lachy

Thanks Andy
Thanks for your kind words Andy. I hope that you, Elspeth and the boys are well. Yes, it's going to take a couple of weeks to settle back in, but looking forward to some stability for a year or two. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your appointment. Cheers Clive

I recently visited Bolivia and was one if those people on the 3x day 4x4 tours. I loved your pics, they reminded me of how amazing the scenery is. I can't believe you cycled it! Apart from the roads being atrocious and the traffic and dust, it's quite an achievement at that altitude. However it would have given you a unique perspective and the opportunity to see so much more than the average traveller. The rewards of your efforts! I've enjoyed reading your adventures, http://www.textaloan.org.uk/

The road in Bolivia is challenging at times

Bolivia
Gotta admire the challenge of Bolivia by pushbike but wow it'd be spectacular. Yet we both know many roads would be impossible on a pushbike...many as challenging for 4WD is an understatement. Well done on conquering the roads you traveled on.

In San Cristobal

Mongo bikers!
I've been weaving in and out of Bolivia for a few years, and I'm so impressed that you covered so much of that great country on your bikes! But what a way to go--really seeing the country and the people close up. How wise to take Spanish lessons--that will really enrich your journey too! Since you made it through the desert and up to El Alto from La Paz, your Peruvian adventure will be a snap (I hope)! Great adventure!

Sounds like you got the opportunity to see a considerable measure of Singapore, a debt of gratitude is in order for sharing. Also, I concur, at times you truly feel like in a sci-fi motion picture when you are in Singapore, especially around Marina Bay. I used to live in the condominium you called "modern city", came back to Germany just two months prior. Katha http://www.ecashviatext.co.uk/

The art and science museum and a hotel in the background

Wild architecture and adventures
Not only do I love the architecture and the greenery of the city, I also love your cycling network. How fabulous to meet fellow cyclists all over the world--and how amazing that SK character cycling from Finland to Singapore staying with families--now there's a wild, trusting soul. Happy travels!

Definitely futuristic!
Sounds like you got to see a lot of Singapore, thanks for sharing. And I agree, sometimes you really feel like in a science fiction movie when you are in Singapore, particularly around Marina Bay. I used to live in the condo you called "futuristic city", returned to Germany only two months ago. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Katha

Thank you
Thank you for your kind comments. Malaysia really is a wonderful country. We have just cycled up from Singapore to Mersing and are currently staying on the island of Pulau Tioman.

You commented upon the national athem several times...
so you are probably aware that the king wrote/composed it. When I lived in Thailand, the king was revered, but there weren't all the billboard pictures of him and his family. Or people wearing yellow shorts. Today it's more of a personality cult. I wonder how much this has to do with the possible succession as he has been ill for quite a while.
