Geo: 16.3833, 103.933Strangely I had just read that serendipity was the old name for Ceylon, Sri Lanka - not a lot of people know that. The first time I had decided to come into the internet at Phon Thong and I find a number of e-mails from friend Mike the latest telling me that they would be passing close by Khamnadie later that same day. Had I not decided to come into town this morning our paths would have poassed about 50km apart. Tuk-tuk back to Khamnadie with a motorcycle outrider escourt.... read more

Geo: 16.3, 103.983Checked the motorbike out this morning and was surprised to find that it started first time. Rode into Phon Thong, our nearest town, some 15km away. Geo: 13.7308, 100.521A few hundred yards after leaving the bus stop in Longlevens I realised that I had left my phone on charge in the spare bedroom. Arrived at Heathrow with a slight worry about the weight of our luggage as we were carrying 30+ paperbacks and a load of baking equipment for Jai. When we weighed in and I saw 50kg the pound signs flitted begore my eyes in excess baggage. We were informed that as frequent flyer members we were actually allowed 25kg each do problem solved. More good news followed as because our flight had been cancelled from the previous day the airline were giving us a complimentary upgrade to say sorry. Thanks very much. When we found our large and comfortable seats Jai was sat next to an older Thai lady so ... read more
