Interesting experience Nina send me your blog to my office as Y have rarely time to read it at home.
It is a very interesting experience for you but you night have a target by doing so. Is it for humanitirian cause or just to get away from the civilised world? Probably you have food and lodging free of charge and in counterparty you are trying desesperatly to teach something impossible to learn from a population who at the end will not retain a lot of your teaching.
Being a self satisfaction will be ubderstood if in parallell you are writing a book which might become a best seller or learning more in the books as you were so rightly saying preparing you to masters and phd which will give you one day access to large universities in big international cities. You nust have a target and work for this target and not only live for your own satisfaction with the minimum and decent means of living. I have been always fighting for a better future not leaving place for a chance that I can't reach and catch. Few words from your uncle must means for you to take the opportunity today of self satisfaction but work for a better future.
bad ass its all looking good ma..,cant believe im back in a call center.. how did that happen? ahh well be back in under 2 months! .. missions going back through KL tho... man i gota bring u this book called, call of the wild~! its soo rad all about wolves! dont get bored before i get back! rad.
devon Hi Pat, it's lovely to hear your news, observations. thoughts and photos. It is also interesting to hear how your perspective changes and develops during your stay in Cambodia. I am glad that teaching is rewarding for you and that you are giving much to your pupils. Who probably hang on every word! It must be very important for them to learn a new language and for their families too. It could give them a new passage or more fulfilling life with another language.
The tome on environmental science sounds huge but interesting! What a good opportunity you have to be able to focus on new subjects and topics. It is nice to see some photos of you as well. I am very proud of you and think that you are doing a wonderful thing. Hope that you are keeping well and take care. Lots of love Mum
<3 omg how awesome! sleeping in the temple sounds extra super and sounds like the place is everything you ever wanted. a little shimmer in my eye denotes extreme joy on your behalf. live the dream!!!
New Life Hi Pat very happy to hear from you and about your new life. The photos are incredible and very illustrative I love the paintings. You sound very excited and galvanized by your new life and what you can do to help the community. It must be very rewarding and thrilling to wake up every day to something new. Glad to see the school buildings and where you play football. I think that it is great that there is a cottage industry being set up so that they can improve their lot in life and give them purpose. You have a lot to give the local community which can be of benefit and enrich their lives there are some positives from our western culture! Hope that you keep well and look after yourself. Lots of love mum
devon Hi Pat Your stories amaze me, you seem to learn so much without knowing the language what a gift. Really glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself and appreciate the photos. The trees are fantastic. You seem to do very well in getting around and meeting people and seeing how they live and sharing in their lives. However, the rice wine looks ghastly! I would take a miss personally. Xmas is looming up and the shops are crowded and generally all a bit mad. Weather today is lovely blue skies not seen that for ages. Snow is forecast for the Uk up to 8'' in the South East. Allan and I are going up to Scotland on the 23rd Dec and returning on the 27th. His mum is very frail and housebound now so it is the right thing to do. In case you do not get to an internet caf we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year full of happiness good health and prosperity. We will be thinking of you and wishing you well. Lots of love Mum
fantastic adventures Hi Pat it is great to hear from you and read about all your travels and adventures. It sounds like you are getting a huge amount in and getting to see the country more in depth. Some amazing sights and stories. Really sorry to hear about your iPod and mobile phone very annoying for you. You sound very excited and interested in your journeys and the people you meet. It is good soul food. Glad to hear that you are eating well. Tasha is away in France on business this week was very excited to go I think she is coming back today. Weather here in the UK continues to be pretty bad there is hardly any let up in the rain. The house is moving forward I am painting skirting boards at the moment which is quite a big job. Love to hear your news. Take care lots of love mum
relaxing Hi Pat you sound so happy and relaxed and really enjoying the scenery and lifestyle in Cambodia. The pictures illustrate how lovely it is there, though I am sorry about the zoo. I personally never liked zoos and have been to very few in my life and only because I felt I should go! Not a good place to be. I also dislike birds in cages. That aside, it is lovely to hear from you and see that you are really enjoying yourself and catching up with old friends and meeting new. Everything haws been hectic here tiles are now laid and the bathrooms are being tiles now, cartpenters, electricans and plumbers generally in and out of the house. Weather has been awfully wet and windy though today was pleasant. Trees are amazing all different colours of bronze, gold and yellow. Interesting to hear that you have had job offers from the other side of the world. I hope that your journeys continue to be interesting and beautiful. I am glad you are happy. Take care and lots of love mum
thank you Hi Pat, it is lovely to hear from you and your adventures. The photo's are very special and I also love the picture of the little girl boating in a basin. She looks very focussed. Her life has been so different from our lives in the West. Sorry that you didn't enjoy KL but I now know not to spend too much time there for the future. The temples look amazing and certainly worth spending time there and soaking up the atmosphere and discovering a new world. You look very happy and confident in the boat on the river and also in the tree despite the spiders. I think of you a lot and hope that your travels continue to be exciting and interesting for you. I look forward to hearing from you again and looking at your photos they will make quite an album. Take care and lots of love mum

Me again! I think that was meant to be a private message but I think I accidently sent it public-I don't mind but it might bore others readers! Also I forgot to say how good your photos are.
Love you xxxxxxxxxx
Love you xxxxxxxxxx I love that you (only you) could find Macchu Pichu, apparently one of the seven wonders of the modern world, 'underwhelming'. Ha! You are brilliant and I miss you. Helen and Barn are in India, you are in South America and I'm in a library in a leisure centre in a Bristol suburb. Not exciting. What is exciting is that I'm in the process of booking a course at a university in Florence, Italy for me and my lovely gorgeous Matt. Hopefully it'll make it seem like you three are away for not such a loooooooooooong time. Englands not so cool without you lot. It makes me want to emigrate. I love you, take care of yourself. Sorry I don't email as regularly as I'd like but I have to travel 5 miles to use the internet. I love you xxxxxxxxxxxxx
mum The photos are really good quality and amazing. You are very lucky to have the opportunity to see the sites and look forward to hearing about your travels when we see each other.
