Electrical adapters and Voltages.
Hi Sue. any chance you could elaborate on which electrical adapters I'll need to bring out when I cover the Paralympics? Also what's the power rating is it 240v or 110v, or something else altogether. I'm staying at the media accommodation in PyeongChang and there's very little information about the place. Not even any images. Thanks in advance. Paul.

Get Well Soon!
Hi Sue - sorry to read that you got sick. Hope by this time you're feeling much better. Good luck with that. Not fun to get sick away from home, but especially not right now. Hope you're up and at 'em again real soon. Jean

Your nickname seems to be the best remedy
Take in a lot of soup with your medicine, you'll be right as rain in a day or two. Hang in there and try to have fun.

Sue - I hope you are starting to feel better. It is such a drag that you aren't able to participate in all of the activities. Hopefully the antibiotics they gave you will help and you will be back on your feet soon. We are looking forward to watching the Olympics - will look for you in the audience - haha!

get well!
That IS a bummer. All your anticipation and prep! 'Course, nothing compared to the athletes'. MIght they want to keep you away from them for a week? I've read that's about how long a person is contagious after showing symptoms. Which would be worse, staying sick or being well and having to prowl around your dorm without going to help at the venue? Tough call.

Sounds busy!
Thanks for the update. It's so interesting how the Olympics work behind the scenes. It's a viewpoint that we don't get too often. Hope you get to the events you want to see. And yes: social media is a definite mixed blessing. Have a good time! Keep the updates coming. They're very interesting. TTFN.

Room 46 is following your blog!
My 5th graders here in San Diego, Ca. are following your travel blog and loving it! We love your writing style and we are learning a lot. We pulled out our atlases today to make sure we knew where you were. We also looked up the sport of Skeleton and had a blast watching a few videos from the Sochi 2014 Olympics. Go Team USA!

When do the athletes arrive again?
Hi Sue - I know you told us this, but I forget (duh). When do the athletes arrive? It's interesting to see what the duties are for the volunteers. It sounds interesting enough. Do you feel that it's well organized or still a bit sketchy? And have you been driving, like to the shops and stuff? Is it fairly easy to get around or confusing? I am enjoying your stories and photos. Thanks! Have fun. Jean

Sorry I didn't respond sooner.
Although they are trying to be organized for the volunteers, things keep getting changed and it gets confusing: where to catch the bus, bus schedule, where to eat, etc. On the other hand the US Olympic Committee has been great to work with. They are very "chill" & very happy with the work us 5 volunteers are doing. We are supposed to have 7 volunteers but something happened. The 5 of us are compatible & work well together. I can only drive vehicles designated for US Team on official business. We did go shopping for them once. I have walked around to shops near the university we are living at.

Looks like we can't comment on your 2d entry
I've come back to your first entry to comment bc at the bottom of the 2d entry, it says comments are only allowed on "published blogs." FYI. I am enjoying your descriptions of what you're doing, plus the photos. I guess it's really cold there - eh? ha ha... stay warm. It does look pretty chilly. How is the snow at the ski runs? Although it's cold, it doesn't look like there's heaps of snow? Is that the case? Are they make snow? Inquiring minds need to know! Good luck with the driving. I think that would be a bit nerve wracking, too, but I'm sure you'll do just fine. Have fun! Keep the posts coming. Toodle ooo, Jean

Thanks for the updates, Sue. It's all very interesting to get an "on the ground" look at how the Olympics operate. Anything you want to share will be interesting, I'm sure.
