work searlo nice blog bro...good advice for me for the stuff to do in la paz, especially the worlds most dangerous road because i was going with gravity, or at least that´s what i thought! in nazca today, just done me some lines...heading to arequipa tonight and cuzco in a couple of days. got machu picchu on the 14th. keep up the good work!!
Huaccachina Very impressive sand. When you get to Britain and have lots of time on your hands, you must read the "Dune" sequence. Loved all your pics of Machu Picchu (and other places too). keep on writing.
Timing You wouldn´t believe me if I said timing was impeccable...
Turns out that at the time of writing the blog they had lifted the strikes for 3 days, so I could have actually gone east wiuthout a hitch(well slowly cos you gotta dodge the rocks on the road).
I don´t have much of a choice with the fitness, I´ve got nothing to do all day, so a large amount of my time I spend wondering around trying to find a place to eat.... I´d be walking a good 10km a day looking for food.
Rough About all the strikes. You're all about the timing mate. And seriously you're blog is starting to look like a food blog. Although now you've done the Inca trail you don't have to worry about your fitness any more. Is the civil unrest only in Peru?
hey dude Ya Right?
nice work on the blog! Just read all of it so far, and i must say, i wasn't expecting much, but i'm impressed!!
Have bookmarked it, so will follow your travels over the next few months.
great photos Which festival is it? If it is the one where they take the statute out of the church and around the market using that funny car it might be worth it. While we were walking the trail others in our group experienced a festival at Aqua Celentes and said it was great...lots of beer and lots of music!! When you go to Puna make sure to on the way visit the most decorated church in S. America. Its soo decorated that it is over the top.
I'm heading off on my big OE by spending three months travelling through South America before heading off to the UK.
Current plans are leave Auckland for Peru, travel around Peru quickly with my Bro, then move on to Bolivia and finally Argentina. I'm estimating about a month in each country but I haven't restricted countries to be these nor the timeframe.... full info
