Another Summer ......Another Trip
Hi there, Enjoy your trip and I am looking forward to the blog updates!
3rd August 2014

Wow wow
It has been a year already since you guys were in Bali, Peru is a wonderful place, just watch out for the weather and high altitude at machu-pichu. I really got sick there for a few days...but the climb to wayna picchu behind the machu pichu as wonderful. very steep two hour climb but shusei made it when he was 9 years old. and the reward was a great view! so good luck with the journey and look forward for the updates you get

A journey comes to an end....
hello world travelers - sad to hear that the adventure is almost over. you have provided a much needed escape as I try and get all this work done. enjoy your last bit of vacation - and know that these memories will last a lifetime. you and sand are one cool set of parents. i hope ben and carys realize that. i hope you have smooth travels back to steamy minnesota. ps - oh i remember those fancy loo's in tokyo! i just loved the ones with sounds.

Thanks Deb. This has been the trip of a lifetime, and I think the kids know it too. Mostly because we keep reminding them that this isn't normal! Although none of us want the fun to end, I think that we're starting to feel ready for our own beds in our own home.

Beer and crops
All beer is made from 'Bali'. (Agricultural joke!) M/D/F-F PS the Chewing Gum song was Lonnie Donnegan not Chas and Dave

Nasi goreng! Now that's a breakfast fit for kings! I can still remember every minute of that holiday. Have a lovely chill out. Your photos are great but I could have improved on them if I'd come along as tour pap!! xx

Hey Chris - I'm doing all the blog on the iPhone. Writing and taking the photos. It's easy that way, but you're right that the pictures are not the best, especially in dim light. Sitting down for this morning's nasi goreng right now...I'll send some to you in a box!

Hello from Minnesota
Hi there, Sounds like you are having a great time. Your thoughts on Singapore bring it all back. For some reason Singapore always brings back memories of James O'Brien - even though he did live in Geneva while I was there. You villa and the pool in Bali look amazing. I would much rather be there than slaving though all these audits! Have a great time relaxing and enjoying time with friends and family.

Thanks Deb! I feel your pain of audits and hope this blog is providing some escapism for you. We are all looking forward to some rest here as we've walked miles over the last two and a half weeks.

Just Helooooooooo
It all sounds great. Good to see pics of Andy and Anna-Marie. Hello to both of you. Is there really no chewing gum* in Singapore?? I like the botanic gardens, and the concert. Funnily enough we came across an identical set up in Italy a couple of years ago. It was at night and the gardens were lit. Very 'atmospheric'. It is a good job you are only doing Tokyo in Japan. There are temples, but nothing like Kyoto. You get 'templed to death' in Kyoto. Love to NSBC. M/D/F-F *PS who sang- Does your chewing gum lose it's flavour on the bedpost overnight?

Comic song like that, my only guess would be Chas and Dave.

loving your blog
it is so nice to read about a family on here and not the usual group who talk mostly about their drinking exploits and dissapointment with Thailand--I go about every 3 years and love it there--must do the Elephant camp one of these times

mopeds in SE Asia
A brit on a moped in SE Asia....an accident was bound to happen! (OK, so I'm American and was the one at fault, but the Brits seem to be the ones that always get hurt). Have fun with the elephants!!
