Hosing down Great to hear you are not only surviving but having some fantastic adventures-couldn't help but giggle at the vision in my head of Richard being hosed down by a chinese chamber maid beforre being accosted by the Chinese 'police' accusing you of being spies. As for the food-well you certainly are braver than me!
Keep safe. Claire, Shaun Ross and Cait
Following in your footsteps Hi there,
It was really nice to find your blog! My girlfriend and I are in Lijiang now with our bikes, about to embark on the same journey to Panzhihua. It sounds like nice cycling to Yongsheng, but how did the rest of the route stack up?
onward, upward. all the locals here look forward to your up dates. hows the servicing going? are the bikes behaving. everything sounds interesting and strange. more downwards will appear Di, maybe. love dad.

Cyclists in St Peter's Square Thought of you last weekend when we were waiting in vain for the Pope to wave to us from his window-two cyclists appeared complete with all the gear and weaved their way through all the tourists on their bikes-hope all is going well-keep posting the photos-it might convince me I should go further afield than just the main tourist spots. Love from us all.
Howdy Glad to see you have arrived safely and are enjoying yourselves. We all well here although the weather has a lot to be desired! Car still getting us from A to B but not sure if it likes the cold and damp of the north!! Rosie won't be pleased that that is how geckos are treated. Love to you both, A, D, R and Z xx

Still laughing about the snake Keep the reviews coming, they are interesting, informative and funny, and we enjoy reading them.
Thanks for your birthday wishes, to which I did reply, but my phone won`t let you use ordinary text, its this predictive stuff and at my age its too damn complicated.
Any way keep enjoying yourselves.
Love from us to you.
We've booked a year off work, had the jabs, bought the RTW tickets and arranged the leaving do. So it looks like we'll really have to do it now; China, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Mexico and USA by bike and plane.... full info
