Great Stuff I have to admit guys, that it almost brought a tear to my eye now you have completed your amazing journey! What an inspiration you are!! I learnt much and enjoyed reading your writings and viewing your pictures. I also learnt when we cycled together in Tassi that I am not a good navigator and have since invested in a tomtom Sat Navigator. All's well that ends well. Stay in touch won't you.
The next step? Well we all know what celebrities do when they lose a lot of weight just in time for Christmas? Yes, you've guessed it, release a fitness video detailing exactly how to do it, so the couch potatoes can believe that they too can get a body like yours in the comfort of their own home in front of their own TV, whilst still drinking ten pints of lager a night, topped off with a fish and chip supper. I wonder how many you would sell? I'm really looking forward to catching up with you in person to celebrate your safe return. Let me know when you've settled back in and I'll fix a date. Lots of love Claire
The End of The Road? Dear Rich and Di,
You safely made it home with so many fantastic memories of the people and places you have ridden to. Reading through your blogs, as arm chair observers, has also been a wonderful journey. We have been captivated by the outstanding commentary and of course the superb photos.
I don't think this will be the last journey for you both but it may be a while before you're gone for quite so long.
In question to how far you have travelled?- I presume you mean actual riding? My guess is around 25,000 klm. I'm probably out by a long way.
I still think you should now turn your writing ability and photographic expertise into publishing this into a book. You have the basis for a dam good read.
We were privileged to have met you in China and to have been able to share some of your experiences with you. Love Ros and Pete
Sally from Raynesway Still keeping up with the Pearts over here, another great set of photos and words. As for the last line, unwanted employment would be anything like 'Joint Venture' or 'Back filling' I guess! Hope the stress on yours is not hampering your final push towards the end. Presume you have been following the GB Team in the Cycling? We have done rather well eh?
Catching up! Not visited your blog for a couple of weeks as we've been preparing for our own travels, on our travels and recovering from our travels. No-where as near as energetic as yours of course.
Good to see you are still experiencing some fantastic scenery and cultures. Not sure I fancy the isea of chillis for breakfast though! This will make you feel old-Ross turned 18 last Friday and is now treating the house as more of a hotel than ever! Keep safe for the last leg. Love Claire, Shaun, Ross and Cait.
Tours Pleased things are progressing so well. The sampling of so many sticky sweets cannot be good for your teeth, stomach, constitution, etc. Jack and I need to past judgement first. bowls tour great, fast swinging greens, great people, good food and lots of some amber liquid, name and origin unknown!!!!!
take care love DAD XXXX
Another great read! As always this blog does not disappoint the reader. Good to note that you are both well and enjoying the local food and attractions. Happy riding: Ros and Peter
Another great story with pictures Whoever are the blog scribe and photographer, are making this journey more and more interesting with every section. The photographs are brilliant, and the writing is so interesting that one reads it over and over again. We will all be sad when this adventure is over. Good riding.
You two Have good memories!! I am thrilled that you two are putting your practices in Australia to good use. I have really enjoyed reading about your adventures and I compliment the author on the writing skills! The whole adventure is written about in an entertaining and skilled way!! Ride on dudes and do keep the words coming!!! I love the photos also!!!! Cheers.
Smuggling opportunity?? Its great to finally see your fantastic wildlife pictures, but the one thing that sticks in my mind for your latest encounters is the price of diesel!!! You wil have a big shock when you return to see how cost of petrol generally has shot up-the cost in Ecuador is a definate snip-any chance of you bringing a tanker load back?
Love to you both, Claire,Shaun,Ross and Cait
The equator stories Well, I don't know about the other equator tricks, but the one about the water going down the drain one way in the northern hemispherre and down the other in the south is not true...hate to take the fun out of things, but one can actually change the course of the water...saw this on the science Discovery channel a few weeks ago adn I was so upset, but I am over it now. Will try theegg trick when I get home today.
Take care on your trip up north.

magical experience, though provoking, terrific pictures.
I do not think Ecuador would have been as good.
Obviously something intellectually stimulating and not to be missed.
I am pleased that you have cleared the parasites from your system and are back to full fitness.
Take care, love DAD XXXX. Still no sign of the new peart!!!
Pharmacy report!! Trusting that Di has now fully recovered, I can safely say that the pharmaceuticals Di was throwing down her throat, although licensed in the UK have not been dispensed by any branches of a well known chemist in my memory! But hey as long as they do the job! Not only did you stretch my professional knowledge, it was also tricky tring to work out the time difference, strange to talk to you at 3am your time, 10am our time. Hope then cruise was fantastic. Lots of love C/mouth Int Pharm Services
WOW & WOW AGAIN We have been mesmerised by the magnificent photo`s in your last 2 blogs. What an experience!!!! We can tell by the narative that you have been seriously affected by the experience, and that it has made a lasting impression. We are also pleased to note that a serious health improvement has occurred. Continue to enjoy.
Love Nora and Dad
Yes Back at last Such a long time since your last blog entry, some people would have been puzzled why. But we now all know the reason, and wish you a speedy recovery. As usual, marvellous story telling, and excellent photographs. Here`s to a very smooth next 6 weeks until you reach Mexico. Love Nora and Dad xxx
How will you follow this adventure! With summer finally here in good old Blighty, I realise that you are actually over halfway through your adventure! You never cease to amaze me with your accounts of the people and places you visit-almost makes me want to do similar.......perhaps not, but it does make me wonder if you will ever be satisfied with the rat race again-please make the most of it while you can! Love to you both and stay safe. Claire, Shaun, Ross and Cait xxx
hawai-two-oh Just caught up with your latest blogs and pleased everything OK. It is very interesting to read about all the places you have been and people you have met, so different somehow to the perception people might have of the different countries. The wild life photos are fantastic. Luv to you both. Mildred and Tony
Celebrities, no less! I was really sitting on the edge of my seat when I read this last enstallment thinking, what will entertain me when I'm at school and the students aren't speaking to me!
You were very lucky that they were only 8 year olds. Hopefully that will be the worst of it.
Your photgraphs are fantastic...more please and when I do see you again, I would like an autograph if you have time between interviews.
lots of love,
The Madpeas
Another beauty Amazing stuff, and fantastic photos, We are entranced by it all, no doubt the blog is only part of the story, and you will need a year when you get home to tell the story in full. Do you think you`ll remember it all?We certainly are looking forward to hearing it.lol, Nora and Dad
You`ve done it again Another beautifully told story, only this time we dont really fancy the mud bath enough to wish we were with you. But the magnificent views, the animals, the waterfalls, they do make us envious. Keep going, Keep writing, and know we all wish you well. lol Nora and Dad
