Plane Trip We left Chicago at 0730, landed at SFO at 1015 (PST), checked in at the SFO Int'l terminal for the flight to Shanghai which took off at 1215. Thus began a 12 1/2 hour flight in a full 747, during which we slept, ate two full meals and a snack in between, played cribbage, read, and sat through or slept through the FOUR full-length movies that they showed. (I woke up toward the end of "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" in time to watch the Spanish Armada get sunk; I also watched all of "Becoming Jane"--good movie! Jane Austen is starting to grow on me. Lynn slept through that one, to her annoyance.) Shanghai's Pudong airport is new, very spacious, and was very empty when we arrived. No problem at customs. We were met by
