Destination is near!! Florence here I come.... I can’t believe that your epic trip is coming to an end. I truly enjoy reading your daily update.
You both stay cool and hydrate well.
The temperatures have been brutal everywhere especially here in Texas.
The way of the pioneers! You guys are too strong to ever be in OFR again, so forget rejoining us upon your return! To compensate, we’ll require that you each pull a 100 pound trailer. No water, no rest. 40 psi in your tires....
Congrats to your daughter on her HUGE accomplishment Great accomplishments seem to run in your family!
Don’t you LOVE Missoula?
I’ve spent a lot of time there with my dear friends!
I’m glad there are no forest fires burning there this year!
Enjoy!

Doin' the downhill Bob, I'm glad you got a chance to use gravity to your advantage and hopefully the winds will be favorable as you make your way into Oregon country. Roll on!!

Life is Good You go Bob. All those pictures and stories bring back such wonderful memories . So blessed to be able to do this. Enjoy every moment and every ride ...
A most incredible journey! Hi Bob, I definitely see a book in your future .... the adventures of an airline pilot from ground level. Your travelogue has been exceptional in all respects. Hopefully, you continue to survive the rough days "in the saddle" and the cold nights in the "bag"! Regards, John ps ... I'm on grand baby sitting all this week .... sleep is at a premium these days
Inspirational Journey!!! Bob,
Your pictures continue to be incredible! I'm thinking that your journey will be inspiring many others to hit the road. If not on two wheels, at least on 4! Thanks again for taking us with you and for bringing attention to Project Hero!
Love, Heidi

I am a retired Airline Pilot and have crossed the United States at 33,000 feet for over 30 years. Now that I am retired, I felt it was time to cross it by bicycle. In September of 2015 I rode from Vancouver, Canada to Tijuana, Mexico with four friends, so this will be my second bicycle adventure. Although I spent 20 years in the Navy, eight active and twelve as a reserve, my experience was far different than those who have served in the last twenty five years. I plan to ride this trip in honor of all who have given so much to serve their country. ... full info
