Wow, with those buildings I felt like I was transported to another place in time. Amazing architecture. The clock is just fabulous and loved hearing about its creation and that the time was a secondary element. You all had quite the tour and the desserts made me hungry, you should try them all for me. ?
Rock climbing, golf, and tennis- is that what you call R&R? The dirty martini looked extra dirty, the bartenders must have gotten to know you very well!
Rock climbing Good to hear from you! Dee you must be a pro at rock climbing, we will try our skills in Longwood at Aguille!! LOL. So glad you rested the last day, you needed it. Nice pics of the ship. Great looking Martini didn't see Mitch"s drink??? I'm busy knitting for my Grandbaby !! Enjoy Prague.
Well, that my friends is why you cruise.... Seems things had been going well, until exit of the taxi driver.... anyhow, hopefully your day of adjustment to your "new digs" goes more smoothly and you find a local palace to speak some English. Loved the views of the boat, and that is quite the "dirty martini"...(for dirty dee) ;) The rock climbing?, is this a new skill for you next odyssey???? Looking good and nice form. Love you both.
St. Petersburg .... did not let us down ... The Winter Palace is very much an impressive sight, as much of the others you have shared with us. I am also impressed with The Church of Spilled Blood, that crazy architecture!! Yes, a day of rest is much needed after all the "herding" you both endured. Your salad is making me hungry and looks to be refreshing, but that view down, well reminds me of a photo I had taken many moons ago in the lighthouse, makes me dizzy. Until the next post ~ rest, eat, drink, and then more rest!
No Collusion!? I’m exhausted reading all you covered and I got dizzy looking down from the lunch spot. The church of spilled blood architecture is impressive. Happy to hear that you are going to have more R&R today and I hope lots more cocktails! ?
aaahhh....weary travelers Estonia is very much filled with such history. Thanks always for including us with the history lessons abound. The hut with the grass roof, I love it!! Get some much needed rest and relax them muscles as the history lessons shall go on...
Hello world travelers!! When do you rest? So glad you had a great tour guide. Grass roofed hut reminds me of Bokrijk in Belgium. Lot's of history to take in there will be a quiz when you get home. Love you
I never realized Estonia has been through so much with the other countries that took up residency. I love that they have kept the songfest tradition. Thanks for my daily history lesson. Sleep well and I will see you tomorrow Comrades!
...a public restroom?!?! Geez, to me that does't look like a bathroom... more like a entrance to an underground tunnel to lead to something of excitement... maybe a "speakeasy"?? Now that would of been fun!
love the photos! I seriously had no idea the beauty or history of Stockholm. It is a shame that more time couldn't have been spent here, maybe a future repeat visit to be had?? Thanks for sharing.
Quack, Quack!! Such a over friendly new friend! Yes, would of been quite the sight if actually caught the "trick" on film!! I can hear Dee chanting in the background, lol.
Sorry your excursion wasn’t all it was quacked up to be! You did get some beautiful photos of Stockholm. Love the story of Dee and the duck. The sunset from the ship is spectacular!
cruisin' I hope the balcony lived up to its intended purpose for Mitch and that the seas were calm. Also hope Dee's cough has subsided and that it is a wonderful cruise. I now have a head cold and haven't completely adjusted to the time difference. All is good though.
