Wow, not for the weak stomach, at all! This was more like SeaWreck, or SeaSick, or When Can we be off the Sea? A mere 9 hours on the extremely rough waters, filled with pukers everywhere, only to dock and see people get sick again from all the fumes and thank gawd we had been on all day and staked claim on a good seat, outside by the way was still better than inside, regardless that they were showing hilarious karaoke videos which Shaun has made a note to learn: Beautiful Girl on the guitar, but hey it had a free transfer taxi from our villa so...yeah sign me up! When we first got here I busied myself with the dozen or so touristy pamphlets that Poupe has in the villa. I picked a few that sounded ... read more

I'm the first to admit, I'm not a good cook and generally speaking I don't even really enjoy it. If Shaun were any other guy, he'd be the second to admit my bad cooking skills, however, lucky for me, and him, he's not like every other guy. Shhhhh...come a little closer, a bit closer now, ahhh ok, that's good, now I can tell you...Shaun isn't the best cook either. I guess I can say that because I, am not like most other girls in the sense that I would say something like that. So, I'm finding out a little revelation...I like to cook Thai food. I'm not sure if it's just one reason, I think it's a few. First and foremost...I like to eat Thai food, in fact, it's one of my all time faves, aside ... read more

I love Poupe, she is my Thai counter-part...like siamese, but not literally connected I try to tell her. Not to be presumptuous upon my own humor, but gawd...she's super funny and a bit sarcastic. She's so little...I must have gotten all the nutrients in the globally separated womb, cause she's only about 90 pounds and under 5 foot. Poupe is always referring to herself in 3rd person, which is not something I do at all and would normally make fun of someone who does that, but it totally works for her. She told me today..."Poupe show you her connects, Poupe show you around her beaches." Sweet! A full-on guide around the neighborhood. I asked her about the beach and where we can shop for real food. She started with the most important, the beach. I had ... read more

Awwwwe shiot, I really need to remember that the first picture I post goes on the cover of each entry, not to mention the whole Asia/Thailand page for the website. As I reflect onto that, there are some super amazing pics of sunsets, mountain ranges, temples and then there's me...wow, I have a picture of our Arctic Blast, Day 5 venturing out to the grocery store on the afore-mentioned 8-2, and a super super super close up of Shaun and me. I'll try and work on that, I promise. two things need to be in this parenthsis', or the EU version of parenthesis, cause I still can't find that right button. Ok, first "afore"? hopefully you understood that I meant I had mentioned the 8-deuce before...I'll need to first admit that I'm blogging to Shaun and ... read more

Really...seriously? Yup, food poisoning the day before we left. No Joke! The culprit, damn rookie sandwich artist wearing the green and gold. I thought I was safe not being on the 8-2, but no....50th and Foster should have the same friggin' warning tagged to it. I'm so trusting and naive to think that you would aquire the same safe food handling practices with only half the teeth in your mouth. Nope! It's a good thing that we started to pack on Tue, cause I was a total mess on Wed. Everything was going fine, even pretty fun, drinking domestic beer, packing for the next month. I even busted out the camera at one point and made sure to get a shot of us still on US soil. Poor Shaun, hates it when I push for a ... read more

Oh shoot... this could be really good or really bad. Or really both, really. I have been contemplating this decision for months now. While the fear of feeling contrite, shallow, egotistical, not funny, or gawd forbid boring, may enter other potential bloggers list of why not to do it, I am simply worried that I might like it. I'll face it, I like to talk, and not only to hear myself thinking out loud, but I think I am actually saying stuff, disillusioned or not. What's so bad about that, admitting it or the actual believing it in the first place? Either way, clearly I'm only marginally worried about the small peanuts of outside perception...I mean this is a public out cry on the world wide web. Well, I should certainly delete these last few sentences, ... read more
