Slainte! hi guys! Happy new year 2007, it has been really interesting following your exploits over the last 2 weeks or so. Greetings from Ireland, hope you had a lovely Christmas as we did. Our present this year came in the form of our third child, little boy (our second boy), Michael born 8th Dec. A little treasure! Thanks for your invite to Mauritius. Was just about to book my flight when I realised being a married Mum of 3 now I had better stick around and at least try and get them through college or something first!
Keep in touch though!
Sheena.
Christmas greetings and New Year's dive Hey you two crazy guys, I have been reading your travel blog these last days and it is great that you keep me (and all of your other friends) so constantly updated. I am in Hamburg now with Linde and going up north (Kiel) to Plüg tonight. Even if it is already the 26th, I wish you a merry Christmas - the biggest present you have made to yourself: freedom! Also, and I am quite sure you have already thought about it, you'll probably take a dive to greet the New Year and have an underwater celebration this year, at least I'd try to do this.
All the best and talk to you soon,
Lars
Great to hear your doing well and purple - what are you thinking! Loving reading the blog from what is turning out to be a cold and foggy xmas over here. Merry Xmas both of you - Ill be sending Kayleigh out for her first dive in the spring ;-)
I wish t´he happy couple a Merry Christmas! Hi Nina & Joachim,
Nice to see that you enjoy life to the max - Helle and I sending you greetings for a happy New Year. PS Talked to Ronald the other day and well to Russ, who is recovering from a by pass operation.
Be in toch.
Tom
Hey Sandeep, you'd love it here.... The island is about half indian so there are oodles of curry dishes... much yummier than that prawn on the barbie stuff you do out there. One good thing we have in common is that it is summer baby!
Happy Xmas Divers! It all sounds AMAZING!!! And you have got THIS far that i am sure that you will not be defeated by non-english speaking people! Keep up the Good work and training and i'll soon be there for some lessons!
Happy Xmas to you BOTH!
Amanda
Hi you guys :-) Hei på dere :-) Great reading - nice to 'hear' from you and that you're doing ok down there. Was a bit worried it would be to hot and that you would miss the winter up north too much, but it seems you're ok :-) Have your blog on my favorites - johoi :-) Hilser fra Hedda ! Thomas :-)
Parcels etc... Hi Antony, Thank you for posting on our blog. :)
I have not heard about other countries having the same system for cheaper parcels if they are easier opened, but there probably is! But I have to say I don’t quite get it either as am sure they are not opening all the closed ones! In any case am all happy, got my Christmas presents sent off the cheapest way! :)
Parcels etc... I am Mauritian, I never understood neither why it is cheaper when the envelope is not close.
Their web site is not clearer - http://www.mauritiuspost.mu/services/mail/foreign/smpackets.php
I always assume it is a normal practice outside Mauritius too? Seems not!
Please come back again...
Antony
God Jul!

It is a small island but there is always room for you! Bobil Jimmy! (eng: Campervan Jimmy!)
Yes you can drive I would say that from where you are in Amsterdam it should be easy enough to drive to Africa, then just head south along the east coast and look for ferry ports to Madagascar. When you get there, do the same but to Reunion island. We know there is a 12 hour ferry from Reunion to Mauritius at least.
You will arrive in Port Louis and just drive northwest and you will be in Trou Aux Biches before you know it!! It is four flats sharing the parking, but HEY we will find some room for your orange and white beauty if you come but make sure you let Akiro know that she is welcome to come ahead by air and stay in the guest room!
Jarle we have seen tennis courts!!
Yes save save and come and see us!! And hey check this out:

There is a DZ in Reunion Ardouin, I do remember you (from the phone at least). Skydiving IS great fun, but too expensive for us to do regularly now that we are not working. That said, we will make an effort to get over to the neighbour island Reunion where they have a dropzone after our licenses arrive in the post!
hey again Nice to see you guys again, really smart to blogg it, so we can follow your journey around the world=) Seb says the skydiving movies was really cool. Take Care
We are a Norwegian/Canadian 30-something couple that have decided to do some longer term travelling before settling down. With no kids or mortgage, we recognised it wouldn't get much more convenient as we got on in years. Whatever happens, we are looking forward to a great learning experience.
After making a farewell tour to Norway in November 2006, we took off for Mauritius in December 2006 and became PADI Divemasters. We then moved on to Phuket, Thailand in March 2007 and completed our PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course in April 2007. We worked for 2 months on Koh Phi Phi and div... full info
