Marion Nzinga Stamps born in Jackson, Mississippi May 28, 1945 and died in Chicago, Illinois on August 28, 1996) was an African-American community activist who fought for equal rights of public housing residents in the Cabrini-Green housing project in Chicago,Illinois. To provide relevancy, diversifies, educational and recreational programs that are safe, healthy, and provide positive experiences that support teens in the development of their behaviors, skills, attitudes, knowledge, and values necessary to realize their maximum potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. We seek to offer alternatives to violence, gang participation and Mob action, teen pregnancy, high school drop-out and truancy, drug and alcohol abuse, virtue and sexually transmitted diseases and other self destructive behaviors.
